How long are the exposures that you were taking for the writing? And what kind of camera do you have?

anywhere between 8-30 seconds! i was using a Canon EOS350-D on a tripod. I hadn't bought the remote for it by then, so i had to run up to the camera, hit the button, then run back into position while it counted down, then write furiously.

it took a while to get the writing process right, but definitely worth it, i feel!

Also, when you wrote it were you writing it like you would normally and then flipping the images in the editing process or were you writing it backwards?

thanks, thats a pretty epic compliment :) i'd like to do a full one, where i don't have to chop up a beautiful song (and in the process get the words wrong.. sorry MM!) but this stands as a good proof of concept. also it's over a year old now and i'd like more of a solid narrative structure to it, it's a bit empty at the moment. doing it on a more epic scale than just in my garage would be cool too, can try more with a bigger space - maybe 5 people writing words simultaneously?
