completely new would be 1500-8000 dollars for the laser head.this one is a diode bar with a lens on it so its in the range of 3000-8000 dollars. big bucks right there.you can buy used for cheaper price tho it wont last as long as new

Yes, you can collimate the beam, but this is expensive, because you need AR coated lens. The output of this array is a streak, and you need 3 lens to make a circle, then comes the fourth one to collimate the beam.
