@saraxox9590 Crohn's can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative Colitis affects only the large intestine, which is the lowest and last part of the tract...the entire large intestine is commonly called the colon.
I have moderate to severe Crohn's disease. No medication other than Prednisone seems to work. I have tried Humira, Remicade and a myriad of other drugs. I am looking into specific diets for Crohns. What foods should I base my diet off of? I know that everyone is different, but some things work for the majority. What about Cats Claw and other herbs? Which herbs do I need to take, how much do I take and in what form? Help.
@mguruj Depending on where you live, talk to your doctor about medical cannabis it has worked great for my IBD. The first modern study involving cannabis and Crohn's was just released in September by a university in Israel...over 60% of the participants responded positively.
Also, unfortunately it's not about adding anything to your diet (except Vitamin B12, probiotic and protein from soy or hemp, NO REDMEAT lol) but more about taking foods out of your diet by trial and error.
