  • yep

  • why do people fail at remakes

  • The difference cannot be understood by you People can't you. I mean the days of propoganda and revolution are gone

  • im asian so i should go to china and live there until america dies in wolrd war 3 or nuclear war because in the middle east hates american's even the Irag and iran or Russia U.S.S.R

  • @DiepSpartan119

What the fuck are you talking about? You're clearly uneducated, so your opinion has no value. The USSR doesn't even exist anymore. I don't know where you live right now, but you should move to China. I guarantee you that wherever you are, the people there don't want you.

  • this is like HOMEFRONT

  • @DiepSpartan119

That's backwards, Homefront is like Red Dawn.

  • @meric2 i know i seen that movie already because i download it from pirate's bay than it took for 2 hours to finish downnloaded than i just enjoy watching it

  • Let me start by saying that I just found out they're doing a remake and that I'd be much happier if they just leave it the way it is. With the original. But these rich idiots would love to screw up an already great movie to merely put more money in their pockets, as well as, stir up a hornets nest among people in this world all at the same time. I believe that a movie is just that; a movie. Doesn't matter what happens, who's in it, or what color they are, because it's a movie.

  • not going to watch it... i am not going to kiss China's ass

  • lordzili1584 is one dumb son'bitch

  • Dumb Americans are so brainwashed, this is not even funny

    Americans = Dumb fuckers

That's why europeans hate you rednecks fatty ass

  • @lordzilu1584 yeah come back when yall learn how to take care of urselfs cuz every fight u been in u dragged us in it. so watch what u say cuz when the time comes u need us..well..lets say we'll be chillin in our trailor parks..;)

  • @necrose002

Wow. That's an overwhelmingly stupid view of world history you have.

  • @lordzilu1584 And thats why you morally bankrupt Europeans are falling apart..lol..you dont STAND for anything and thus you are NOTHING

  • did you notice in the original ALL the main characters were white and now it going to have other ethnic groups. NO IM NOT RACSISTS.

  • I AM SO WATCHING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Check out the video "Imagine" by Ron Paul.

  • Oh no, more stupid Double Standard Political Correctness. North Korea couldnt invade a local McDonalds. And why should we worry about offendig China, we will be at War with them within the next 10 years, China has alot of people but they are weaker than a dead cat.

  • Comment removed

  • it better kick ass or im going 2 be kicking ass

  • no no...the actors arent even americans

  • yet another propaganda!

  • bullshit didnt want to offend china shows you how much china has America in their pockets

  • I'm going to josh;)

  • LOL, try using the transcribed audio... It's HILARIOUS!

  • Homefront anybody?

  • It better not be super patriotic shit again, but it's American so what do you expect

  • I'm not one to call the race card, but since I think it's retarded that they switched it from China to North Korea I'm going to call it. Doesn't it seem like they are saying all Asians look alike when they say the "digitally edited" the film to change the villains from Chinese to North Koreans? Computers aren't THAT good...

  • @BierBomber they didnt change faces, probably just unit insignia's on the uniforms

  • N. Korea? Very unrealistic...

  • WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In the 1984 version of "Red Dawn", the Soviets had the Cubans helping them out. Who's helping out the North Koreans?

  • IT was in Calumet Colorado! I wish they had kept it the chinese as well

  • fucking pussy ass liberals who gives a damn about what the commie chinks think.

  • Come to think of it, since the Movie started, The Chinese Government is slowly turning to Capitalism, so it makes more sense that its North Korea, and we dont even know what they will be like with the Son running things.

But I just know that the CG'd augmentations are gonna' look pretty bad, unless this is really a HUGE budgeted Film. "Shoot straight . . . for once".

  • I was an extra

  • The kid kneeling in front in the cast photo is Tom Cruise's adopted son.

  • Bring back Jericho now thats a real story and you will not offend China! God only knows we don't want that? Fuck China! Thats for all the people unemployed here...

  • @TheJbirdman123 bring back Jericho amen

  • @comradeshow love that show!!! read a book called once second after...same idea.

  • We don't want to offend China! This is a bunch of shit so now China has control of Hollywood and what the americans watch? I think this movie should be like Jericho was? Real corruption in our own government!!!! Thats what we need to fear...

  • Wolverines!

  • She's stupid! The Kids weren't in Washington. They were in Colorado! I'm pissed the new one isn't filmed in Spokane!

  • This is gonna' be the most politically correct movie ever made. I think that's Michelle Rodriguez. I'll watch her in anything.

  • Bullshit movie that was rewritten to be North Korean instead of Chinese ... LMFAO ... it's a joke, only China could have the power to attack the USA.

I decline to see the pile of crap "B" rated movie ... I might see it when it hits the 99 cent tub at the local discount store.

    Politics own Hollywood?

  • @ben5017 Only china? in terms of man power Russia has 20,000,000 in reserve. I think they could take the USA on to 0_0

  • @TheCloonman Good Point! This crap with Iran our govt keeps pushing, we will find out about the Chinese and Russians very soon I think!

Look at Putin, he is no spring chicken, but we don't have any leader in America that could take him in an honest fight ... Maybe Jesse Venture ... that's it!

  • @TheCloonman and how would they get 20 million troops here to the u.s. with out us noticing them?? warfare is far more complex than man power.

  • WTF North Korean? They don't want to invade anyone.... China would have been perfect.... its a fucking movie you're not gonna offend anyone.... fuck hollywood, you stupid fucking asshole bitches and fuck this movie now fucking assholes, Swayze would fuck you up

  • They should have kept it the Chinese.

  • @Juggernaut40KDM total cop-out that they changed it.

  • @Juggernaut40KDM From what I read, they didn't entirely get rid of the Chinese, they made it so it's a joint North Korean/Chinese invasion of the U.S.

  • @Juggernaut40KDM I agree the Chinese are a major world threat.

  • @gamervideos11 USA is a major world threat bitch, you ppl's hands are full of blood of Iraq, afganistan, Vietnam and Korean war

China hasn't invaded another countries for over 30 years you brainwashed fuckers

  • @lordzilu1584 nooo but china gives all their workers pennies for hours of work so yeahh everyone china is soo fairr and nice lets talk to the eleven year old that has only 3 fingers and no thumbs from "working"

  • hell yea

  • Everything I was waiting for was her saying HIS name: JOSH Hutcherson. ♥ but she didn't...

  • @shugochara13amu WHO? Never heard of him!

  • @shugochara13amu Josh Hutcherson is a faggot

  • @JeffCStillReady

    No duh!!!!

P.s. Are you on xbox and named agro? Is so I know u

  • @MrKoolman08 no, i'm on ps3.. check out umadgear.com though...

  • she said " washington town" it was set in Colorado....

  • @JeffCstillReady yea wtf

  • Comment removed

  • @JeffCstillReady she got confused.

  • Red China is the only force capable of dealing with us gun loving Americans. That or the entire NATO brigade lol. Be careful what you wish for........

I disliked because somebody lost their balls and made the Chinese into North Koreans.

  • @69mcdonlad69 You ever seen the plot synopsis for homefront the video game, there is a chillingly plausable storyline there. The fall of america from power and the rise of north korea and there eventual invasion

  • Get your own frikken movie ideas!!!! Leave my generation alone!!!!

  • somone said the queer from thor plays in the movie, i fucking swear if that happens this movie is going to suck, the motherfucker isnt even american.........

  • @scor9977 lol this comment is funny shhit

  • China wouldn't work. China already owns the US. That woudl be like the us invading walmart.

  • @RXdash78 i wish china will attack us.........im geting fucking tired of this place

  • @RXdash78 That was fucking great man. True That!

  • cause hollywood is a bunch of communist douches. they didnt wanna upset the motherland.

  • it wasnt washington or washington state it was colorado.

  • Actually, in the origanal it was in a small Colorado town, not Washington. I am looking foward to the release, have been for quite awhile. I think it still should have been the Chinese. Too much "Might offend them." Of course I happen to be a cold war VET who did two deployments.

  • @surrelljr Thank you for your military service.

  • Scrap this movie before it ruins the classic. Hollywood, man up and come up with some new ideas. Stop revamping our classics with cgi and all other high tech ridiculousness in an attempt to tap a new market ( most of us are still alive and it is sad and disappointing every time!) Long live Patrick Swayze!!!

  • @barfyspitz yes i agree so much brother.

  • @scor9977 See??? We get it... How come Hollywood can't seem to understand it?

  • So...

23 million half-starved North Koreans are going to try and conquer 350+ Americans?

Wow. This may actually more stupid and paranoid than the original!

  • @radioblueheart hahahah, i agree

  • @scor9977

It be perfectly honest, I am of the opinion that if they did remake this movie, since the original concept is so outrageous, they should do it as a satirical comedy. Mostly the problems the Chinese run into trying to control the most difficult and infuriating people of Earth: American Teenagers.

  • the fact that it's been pushed back so many times tells me that it's probably not going to be a good film. i pray to azura that i'm wrong

  • I'm looking forward to seeing it the remake and just hope they can do this classic film justice... though I do believe the writers should have been able to use the Chinese as the potential foreign threat, if that's the direction they had envisioned, without fear of offending China, etc.

  • I think it's dumb if its not cold war Soviet Union story line........

  • GEEZUS NKs now? just release it already

  • I plan on seeing the movie but it will not be as good as the original. No remake is as good as the original.

  • Fuck offending China.... im sick of people being such pussies. Let people be offended.

  • @Capta1nTaterS

YAY FOR 9/11/2001! FUCK AMERICA. THEY DESERVE IT!

    Offended? Don't be pussies then.

  • @LuzzuX Not offended, say what you want. I really don't care bro, good for you.

  • @LuzzuX Wow! Way to take it too far...Stay classy luzzux!

  • @barfyspitz

America makes very offensive remarks on TV EVERY SINGLE DAY. Me saying shame on America, they deserve the 9/11 attack is too far? I don't think so. I really do feel for the victims of the attack, however the "America" as a symbol/icon deserved 100% of it.

  • @LuzzuX why are you on here saying fuck america? what country are you from?

  • @MrPhillipftcm

Don't you read? Or can't comprehend what I've said?

  • They should've just left this movie alone. The original had such a classic cast and depicted a time where the country was united and you knew that the commies were the only bad guys in the world. lol Still..... ill probably go see this one anyway, just to see a movie where American citizens are fighting against a common foe.

  • nice boobs

  • She made a mistake...anyone notice what it was?

Let me give you a hint :33

    ITS COLORADO!!!!! Not Washington

  • Original Red Dawn focused on the fears of Russia/Cuba by the US

This one focuses on modern fears of China the new leaders of the world.

Whilst the eagle collapses the dragon rises.

  • @TigerMilitia And how did those fears of Russia/Cuba turn out?

Yea, the same way those fears of China will turn out.

Whilst the Dragon decays from the inside, the Eagle endures.

  • Correction, Cuba and Russia invaded in the 1984 classic. The new one has North Korea invade. Now, even though Korea may be bankrupt the help from China would make it work. China is the source of our income and distribution, if China and Korea worked together the plot could work along with redeeming the original film.

  • North Korea? North Korea, is flat ass broke they couldn't afford to invade Iceland, and Iceland is bankrupt. I can suspend belief to accept ET's from outer space but North Korea taking on the Super Powers of the world, just no.

MGM went broke,... hmm wonder why. Please hire me for $20 million a year, and I can assure you I can say no to dumb idea's that won't do good bank at the box office. Your welcome in advance for this one, everyone gets one.

  • @Vengeance31 the movie is not a bad idea, it's the halfassed change they made to it so as not to affect a large customer. If they had incorporated some of the story line from the Homefront videogame it might be a little more believable.

Even the original Red Dawn put the US at a disadvantage in order make the successful invasion plausible.

  • @Vengeance31 North Korea's economy is better than the United States

  • @kicknbazz1615 Your either joking or retarded. North Korea's GDP is around $40 billion a year. The state of California alone it's GSP is 1.9 trillion a year.

Stay in school, your to dumb.

  • cool story bro. i can make shit up too

  • @kicknbazz1615 Actually you can look up those basic economic statistics on your own, but your just another stupid kid, wasting everyone's time. Time for you to put on your paper hat and get back to work, those fries aren't going to salt themselves.

  • @Vengeance31 If you mean my Dress Blues then alright.

  • @Vengeance31 "Stay in school, your to dumb." Ironic

    You're

    and

    too

Google doesn't make you educated or smart.

  • Comment removed

  • The message was; @Velocinox Oh no the spelling Nazi got me.

All you did was look up some numbers on Wikipedia, that doesn't make you smarter than anyone else. If you had 'stayed in school', you would have had to cover English 101 which includes the Your/You're and To/Too usages.

Wikipedia and Google does not constitute an education and the ability to use them does not indicate any particular level of intelligence, Also, true education and intelligence does not make one a Nazi.

  • @Velocinox I think you can learn a great deal from searching Google lol

  • @AlphaZulu018 You can learn a lot more getting a degree, the first thing you learn is surfing the internet won't get you a job, but a degree will.

  • @Velocinox huh? How does that reply even relate to my comment?

  • i think china is more fitting as the invader than north korea. they could have done it like they did in the original the soviets (china) supported by the cubans (north korea).

  • It's about time. I have been looking forward this movie for a long time.

  • I want to watch it, but i'm afraid of the editing. and "digital changes". why didn't they make it North Korea in the first place. makes more sense.

  • @MrSlm1982 The reason why is because like she said in the video and other ppl as well. Said they the fear of offending the government of China.

  • I will definitely watch this movie. The original came out in 1984, when I was 16 years old and in High School. We were still in Cold War times, and at my school we were still running drills on how to react to a nuclear attack. The whole thing seems kind of surreal now, but it was a part of my childhood and early adulthood. In the original the invaders were the Soviets and the Cubans. I am half Cuban and I grew up in Miami, so "Red Dawn" kind'a hit home for me. I look forward to the remake!

  • Hmm, so they're finally going to release this. I'm not so sure on the whole changing China to North Korea deal, seems like it'll look cheesy. Guess we'll have to wait 'n see.

All I know is this, it will never be better than the original Red Dawn.

  • The AKs are so gay! PUT THE WOOD GRIPS AND STOCKS BACK ON!

  • Comment removed

  • Relax ass wipes - Its a Movie...

  • Um, the first Red Dawn took place in Colorado. Dumbass

  • The PLA were the original protagonists because they are the ones with enough manpower to do the job, maybe not naval and air assetts but China is more believeable, those idiots have turned this remake into a film version of Homefront

  • LOL

Idiots of MGM studio are busy sucking Chinese dicks for $.

Only inbreds with IQ around room temperature would pay $11 or more to watch this shit & believe it's possible.

Almost all of N.Korean military personnel are in the ARMY because N.Korea can just march down the DMZ to invade South Korea.

N.Korea has very few submarines, ships, & airplanes.

How are the MGM retards going to explain that N.Koreans reached the U.S. across the Pacific?

They walked on water like Jesus?

  • @KimInLosAngeles The N. Koreans don't have fuel for their ships but they do have an army of over 2 million people. And they would be fully funded by China, just as we the USA fun S. Korea. We are the two dominant economies on the planet. At one time or another, we will end up going at it if we don't start stepping off the surface of earth and moving into the solar system.

  • @poisonshift

If you want to pretend as an expert on a subject you don't know, at least look it up on the net.

N.Korea gets VERY LITTLE amount of coal, oil, & rice from China which is just barely enough to feed the ones in power & special forces soldiers (200,000).

Not enough to feed regular soldiers (900,000) so they are bony thin.

I guess you don't read international news.

When Kim Jong-Il travels to China & Russia he does so by train, because there isn't enough oil for a plane for him.

  • Comment removed

  • North Korea...really? Wonder what a bootleg of the original w/ Chinese bad guys will go for. Seriously NK can't even feed their own people and we are China's monetary *itch. Sad commentary on Hollywood. Too bad somebody doesn't Have the *alls to buy the rights and return to Chinese baddies! Now that would make an instant hit in the US!

  • Hey dumbass, in the original 1984 Hollywood Motion Picture, "Red Dawn", the Chinese were the allies helping the U.S. fight the Soviets and Cubans. Watch the original 1984 Red Dawn, at 57:40 into the film, the character portrayed by Powers Booth, LTC. Andrew Tanner says, "600 million screaming China men", when the character portrayed by C. Thomas Howell asks, "who's on our side"?

  • this movie should not be called a flick

  • Comment removed

  • Im not going to believe it until I see the poster in the theater hallway.

  • just to clarify the misinformation in this clip...the original was set in the town of clumet, colorado. not washington state

  • I was very excited about this but after I heard they are changing the Chinese to north Korea, I'm out. It's crap that our own studios are going to sell out it's true fan and customer base (Americans) for China. If the Chinese want to be butt-hurt then let them. The producers have no balls. If I was directing this and they pulled that shit I would be so pissed...I think I'll just not support it.

  • Fuck china, movies that start shit and are bold and have no apologies are the best. Don't let the Red China dawn on our freedom of expression!

  • Josh peck is playing the part of Matt Eckert who was originally played by Charlie Sheen, I dont see it...

  • North Koreans, yeah right.

  • i smell a stinker

  • I won't see it cause the movie studios are to pussy to make a film that would hurt China's image, HA HA HA, laughable, get some balls studios. Were going to war with them in couple of years anyway, and it's not going to be a movie! God Bless!

  • Hey dumbass, in the original 1984 Hollywood Motion Picture, "Red Dawn", the Chinese were the allies helping the U.S. fight the Soviets and Cubans. Watch the original 1984 Red Dawn, at 57min. : 40sec. into the film, when the character portrayed by Patrick Swayze asks, "who's on our side?", the character portrayed by Powers Booth, LTC. Andrew Tanner says, "600 million screaming China men". The jackasses at MGM made a mess of the remake and ruined the original one as well.

  • If it finally got a release date why didn't she say it? Details on the "offical American release"? Plus the original took place in Colorado not Washington.

  • This remake takes a unconvincing premise (That China would attack us, unlikely, and that the American early warning system wouldn't detect an invasion force crossing the Pacific) and makes it even more unconvincing by changing it to North Korea. The only issue we'd have if North Korea invaded is where we would pile the mountians and mountains of dead DPRK solders.

  • @ReviewForReel I work in the business. The way they did the North Korean stuff (From what I have seen through info at my work) is very convincing. And they dont cross the Pacific at all.

  • @ariesespo I don't mean to give offense, but I have a hard time believing that a country whose army needs to steal food in order to survive, can in any way stage a successful invasion of the United States. And they would need to cross the Pacific, seeing as North Korea is on the other side of the Pacific. That is unless this becomes Homefront the movie in which case I ask why bother since everyone has already palyed the game. BUt I guess I just have to see the movie.

  • @ReviewForReel no offense taken. But you are confused about what is planned. North Korea, from what I have seen of the script, is not alone and gets help from other nations that form a pact against the US and its allies. I cant go into heavy details, but like I said, they dont get on boats and cross the Pacific, that's what makes it scary. Go look at a map again and you might figure it out.

  • @ariesespo With that new information I can now see how that is a possibility, I will defalty check out the movie. in

  • @ReviewForReel I saw a few pages of the script. One of the cool lines I saw that was redone was where Power Boothe is explaining to the group how it all started:

    The Original:

    Darryl Bates: What started it?

Col. Andy Tanner: "I don't know. Two toughest kids on the block, I guess. Sooner or later, they're gonna fight."

    remake:

Col. Tanner: " I don't know for sure. The Policed became the Police? "

    Jed: "It's that simple?"

Col. Tanner: "It's that scary kid."

  • f*** china in reality they sell us plastics trinkets full of poison and toys and sell us products at cost to destroy the u s economy then they take our money to build weapons so if 1 day they wanted to take over the united states with russia they could

  • wow I guess she's too young to ever seen the original they were in the high plains in colorado and after the attack they moved into the mountains

  • The enemy isn't North Korea or China, look no further than our bought and sold politicians and bankers with their corporate buddies

  • The first movie takes place in Colorado, not Washington.

  • I guess since MGM and the distributor of this movie is desperate for money so they are hoping that couple million Chinese go see this movie.I wonder if they did a re-dub otherwise it's going to be pretty obvious those aren't NK troops since they don't speak Mandarin or other Chinese dialects in NK.Still wish they said fuck em and their childish bs censorship they need to learn about criticism and fictional situations and that if people are offended they can boycott but don't ban completely.

  • so glad this movie is getting relessed by 2012 i've been wating since 2010 glad its going to get relessed

  • Sorry cast and crew of the Red Dawn remake... because of Hollywood's fear it's already a flop!

  • In real life US & South Korea would fuck North Korea. South Korea isn't going fall to North Korea regime. North Korea is dying sooner a later a second Korean will start. In the end the winner is
