You play this Boss differently than i. Personally, i will not go for the core until it is necesssary, because those little shooting things give so much support item power -ups, but then again, may be this game does not count them as it does not count total shotdown either for the Boss characters.

man this game still brings tears to my eyes of how perfect this game truely is and the music *wow whistle* beautiful.

I got the same ending to but I think it has to be done in boss rush mode or survival mode and you need to beat the final boss without getting hit once and I did kill all the enemies that leave powerups to they are the only enemies you need to kill in order to get this sweet ending, it took me about 10 tries to get this right I hope.

@xRocketzFighterx Yeah, it really is a masterpiece. Last week I played through the entire game again, and not only is each track a great journey, the entire "album" as a whole, singular piece of music is truly amazing. 'The whole is greater than the sum of its parts' certainly applies here.

So, in order to see this ending you must beat the final boss without getting hit, or the ENTIRE game without getting hit?

@RPGmaster94 You have to beat the final boss and boss rush without getting hit so that you stay in the "baby" form (unless you can pick up enough white cells to level back up after getting it). AND you must shoot down every enemy so that the pink butterflies appear.

You should go for the worst possible ending. Eden crumbles, everything gets darker, and some eerie music accompanies it.

Thats what scares me. My heart pounds like a drum every time I'm at the final boss, afraid that I might screw up (I have no intent of getting the ending message "she still lies trapped inside the system". It makes me feel like I didn't really save Eden).

actually no, im still trying to get all of areas 3, 4, and 5. On my first playthrough, i got 93 percent (plus some decimals). I got the same ending that quuail got.

in the ending i got, there's no butterflys, it goes all the way to 3:35 in the video, then the screen just turns black. Thinking I screwed something up, I pressed a button during the credits and didn't get to see the ending message, so i don't know if I got a bad ending or not.

I've literally forgotten what I said here before, but anyway... It seems like Rez is a lot like 2001 in which you need to be on LSD, paint fumes, and Ritalin in order for it to make sense albeit you'll completely forget the meaning behind it afterward. And this doesn't mean I would throw a copy off an overpass. Since my favorite games are killer7 and the MOTHER series, if it came to an undisclosed system I own, I'd break out the gluestick and blast away. XE

I've always thought everyone saying the entire population of Japan is on drugs was just the only thing that would describe everything Japanese, but this game... It leans me a small bit towards that theory, but not entirely...

I think the whole story is basically that there's a virus taking over the network, which is basically the girl turning evil. Once you clear everything out she returns to normal and you save the world! Yahoo!

Haha yes and I totally understand the Japanese thing. Last night my friends and I watched some Japanese movie that was like an anime in real life and there was some crazy shit going on, we were confused nearly the whole time!

I remembered like a week ago Ion the 360 version of the game, if you died on Eden then you see Eden fall into pieces and you still die. I was like:

(O.o) What!? We died!? That's messed up.

I was glad though to see that they didn't just send you to the game over screen. THAT is different than most games.

I just beat the final boss without 100% and in final form. It does not give you this same ending. There's no butterflys, she makes the purple then it just explodes or dissapears. The text at the end said something along the lines of "Now she is freed. But there's something more"

You have no clue how long it took me to get the Morolian and that damn butterfly ending... I was 12 though. Plus the Morolian was cool and I liked the trippy infinite mode.

Yes. To get 100% shot down, you have to hit every enemy in the level on your playthrough.

Lolz everytime when I beat the final boss and that song comes out and you hear the "ahh" we always do it lolz and we move around the room saying "ahh" =P, But yea the ending was too short, so was the game, they should have added more trance music.
