what were the cars called? the ones u put the key in and they lock the wheels. i'm not talking bout the spring loaded key cars, these ones i'm talking bout came out around 1982 or 1983? anyone remember?
In the mid-80s, I asked Santa Claus at the Castle Shannon, PA VFW for this.... He did not know what I was talking about. Naturally, I did not get if for Christmas.

I had 2 or 3 of them, thay were a lot of fun to play with!
But after awhile, the spring that activated the rotating panel would get weak, and not work properly.
or if you smacked it too hard, agenst a rock.... or your friends head, the panal would simply break off the car.
I think my favorite toy back then was the matchbox key cars... I think it was matchbox.
cars that had a spring loaded key you inserted in the back.
Those cars would go fast.

Key Cars are Hotwheels
zzfan1 3 years ago
@zzfan1 No they're not. Key cars were made by Ideal, Matchbox/Kidco, Road Champs (I think) and a few other companies, but HW never made key cars.
