  • just an amazing song by the amazing Billy Fury first listened to him in late 50s early sixties and still 1 of my favorites. Sadley missed by all who knew his music. R I P Billy

  • An amazing song and vocals-i love you Billy

  • Britain's best Rocker Billy Fury. A great performer and a sweet gentle modest human being. Taken too soon. Always missed and loved. RIP.

  • Have to listen to this again! Billy sounds like he is singing this to each and every one of us individually. That is a very special gift. A beautiful person taken away too soon. Miss you Billy you will never be gone! RIP BILLY.

  • @5151emily Certainly, one of the most close and intimate songs I can think of. Maybe The Fleetwoods had the same quality.

  • I care for ever <3

  • What a pretty song. Billy could sing great ballads and also perform gritty rock n roll songs so well.. Plus he wrote a number of good songs and had a gorgeous voice. Something that is quite a rare! ! Alot of people can sing !! But not too many have a special unique quality like Billy;s! If you listen the same can be said about Elvis' voice there is just something about it that makes you feel like you are experiencing something amazing. Perhaps they are singing together at last.

  • @5151emily Thanks for the thoughful comment.

  • You're welcome, old bean. As an American it's so much fun to be introduced to these classics that never quite made it to our shores back in their heyday. I've been doing my bit to spread the Shapiro word also...

  • Shapiro, eh? Sounds like you must know LaVerne37.

  • Only through LaVerne's sterling reputation!

  • thanks!!

  • Great.

  • Pleased to have the thumbs up from a gentleman author.

  • Sir....this is a really nice ballad.....very soothing. Thank you for sharing.

  • Glad you like it, an old favourite of mine and Mrs Basil.

  • Youtube rumor has it that Billy Fury is indeed still with us; living under the name of Basil...have you heard that across the pond!!! It's become a regular scandal over here!!!

    Pins and Needles in Pittsburg!!!

Yes indeed this is very very haunting...Basil, you don't know the joy you bring...for all of us...we anxiously await for another gem from the endless vault of Sir Basil...you're simply the best!!!

Have a toddy for me...well deserved!!! Now it's on to "Young Stranger," in stereo!!

  • Many thanks. I can neither deny or support the Ronald Wycherley rumours...

  • @LaVerne37 I agree with you. This is great.
