Hi.OMG that lipstick and lipgloss combo, looks absolutely perfect on you.It blends, and compliments your skintone so well, very nude\natural looking, absolutely love the look.
can you please please please do an updated makeup video ps you look very pretty in this video not like you dont in your other ones just very glowy lol in this one take care!
My 55 brush hasn't seen any love since I bought the Real Techniques brushes. Though I do feel I got my money's worth out of it for the six months (?) I used it. lol
Great video Marnie! I bought a set of the no name brushes at Walmart that you talked about. All they said on the package was high definition and LOVE them. I even went back a month later and bought a set for my daughter Jessica for her birthday. I've got an EcoTools set from Walmart too that I LOVE, they are so soft and dense! I also have a flat top kabuki from Physicians Formula, it has a blue metallic base and its amazing. Thanks for sharing your favs with us!
Can't remember how I found your videos (other than trying to find someone with similarly super-fair skin, who isn't 20), but I have been catching up over the last few weeks and I love them all -- short and long! Anyway, mostly now I just want to say that you're the one who made me stop walking by the elf brushes at Target. So, thanks!
I have the angled powder brush....I did get mine in a set. It was called a HD Set. It had 4 brushes: foundation, concealer, angled blush and a small powder brush. I think it was $14.99 for the set.
this was great marnie. i was shocked when i saw the price of the airbrush 55. i am so happy with my studio brushes. of course i'm always checking out other brushes because they are fun to collect but i would never pay over $10 for a brush. as long as it feels nice and it works that's all i need. thanks for sharing. hope things are cooling of a bit for you. take care.
"This seems like a lot of layers" Haha! Girl, I'm right with ya on that. It's like I just can't get my face perfect, and I'm just packing on something else. What's up with that? LOL And I'm with sharisp2 (below me)- that the Ecotools brushes are really nice. And I do love that retractable kabuki brush from them. It's got a silver casing and it's dense and oh so soft. Betcha you would like it :) Found it at Ulta... now waiting on your eye brush vid! OOXX
Some great brushes here Marnie! Another collection of brushes that are great for face and eyes are the Eco-Tools, every try those? I swear those are some of the softest bristles I have ever used, and I love the retractable kabuki brush and the bronzer brush is awesome too! I can't wait until we get Target here in Canada and I can finally get my hands on those Real Techniques brushes! :)
I agree with you about the Sephora brush. I bought that on to use with the Nars foundation and found it a little difficult. I don't care for the skinny handle and mine was loose from day one. It hasn't come apart, but it isn't very secure. I need to try the Real Tehnique brushes.
OMG! I LOVE the H-E-B brushes! LOL Someone from H-E-B once told me they were made by the POSH brand, which I've heard makes great brushes. ??? You just saved me a ton of $ as I was seriously considering the Sephora brush. I may pick up the Real Techniques stippling brush though. I have their blush brush and love it! :)
@freakyprecious It depends, but lately I've been using Maybelline Super Stay concealer. Some of my other favorites include Inglot, Bobbi Brown, MAC Studio Fix, and the Boots No. 7 concealer stick.
What a great video! You just saved me a ton! I've been going back & forth about the sephora brushes, cause as you said they are raved about! But I'm lovin many of my less expensive brushes too & could get many other things besides those to add to my collection! ;)
I have several of the same brushes you have. I love the WalMart brushes as well. I also love my Real Techniques brushes. I want to get some more of them.
I wanted to get the Sephora brush, but now I'm gonna pass. Another example that expensive is not always the best choice.
Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing your eye brush faves :)
U did good. Thank you. I appreciate your time and sharing. I also like when you can do short vids not because I don't like them but because I'm also a mom and many times just have a few minutes to see a couple of vids and I tend to look for short ones so that I can watch as many as I want :)
I am using the beauty blender for my Estee Lauder DW, but I love the Sephora airbrush for cream blushes. Also I would love to try the Real Techniques stippling brush, but I have never seen them at my Ulta and they are out of stock on the RT website. Bummer. Oh, hot glue will fix that Sephora brush in a jiffy!
If you run your hair dryer over that broken Sephora brush it will heat the glue and you can put it back together. Oxfordjasmine has a video about saving brushes that have broken.
If you run your hair dryer over that broken Sephora it will heat the glue and you can put it back together. Oxfordjasmine has a video about saving brushes that have broken.
I love the Real Techniques stippling brush for putting on cream blush too. Thought I would mention that incase you haven't tried it yet. It works so well.
I love when you babble!! hehe!!! I have must of those brushes!! the company that distribute the walmart ones is paris presents. They also do the Eco tool and realtechnlques brushes. I had a sephora brush and the same thing happen. I think you can use Gorilla Glue on it. That will keep it to getter!! LOL!! Thanks for sharing!!
Don't have a question or a suggestion, and I certainly don't want to tell you where to go, I just wanted to say thanks for keeping me company while I toiled away on a rather monotonous task. Great video, I love seeing what everyone uses and loves.
i have over $200 worth of the pixwoo brushes I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM- (that and the clarisonic are how i got my free level 6 at ulta) haha you just mention real tech brushes- -they are real artist brushes not brush SNOB brushes- lol- u know what i mean!!-i gave all my walmart brushes to my art students- (i tudor art in my home)- Marni i have a POSH brush i can give you- i bought 2 and only use one- its the one on their web sight for $40.00 send me your info x shelly
I use Eco Tools brushes from Walmart. Just a quick quiery, who is it that clicks dislike on videos, does that mean they watch the whole vid and then click the dislike button, what a waste of time!
@betterlatethannev100 I know that the minute the video goes live, I get 1-2 instant dislikes. So, if it's a 13 minute video and it's been live for less than 30 seconds, there's no way they are actually watching. It is amazing to me that there are at least 6-7 losers out there that hover by their inbox, waiting for my (and other's) video to go live, just so they can click that "dislike" button. I dislike them! :)
I use a lot of Sonja Kashik and Walmart brushes and they work great. I had to laugh about your Sephora brush. I bought a pricey brush from Smashbox and it did the same thing. I fixed it with a drop of glue.
very useful, thank you ! I just started to build my brush collection from ELF, they are great for the price, and I dont feel so bad for having lots of brushes that are for the same thing....lol...:)
Awww! My 6 year old, Lily, is very sick with a bad cold, and she is sitting here snuggled up to me- she just looked up at the computer screen, and said, "THAT'S a pretty girl!" Miss Lily is very into makeup these days, too!!!
Thank you for your review on the sephora air brush, I was thinking about buying it. You can take items back to sephora even if you do not the receipt or packaging, if it had one. I have taken items back without the two and recieved store credit.
I Love the real technique brushes by Samantha Chapman, BUT i used the Kabuki brush and its quite small for a Kabuki and It wasn't anything special. The Kabuki brush from ELF which is 5 dollars is WONDERFUL though. Its a perfect size and just works well, where as the real techniques is about 11 dollars or something. Love your videos by the way and can't wait for your favorite eye brush video.
Thanks for another great video. Love brush videos - I'm brush poor :( but love, love getting others opinions (and yes, we all have differing ones) on them, before I make the investment. Your sense of humor and candidness always brighten up my day. Hugs xxxx Eva
Your video thumbnail is so hilarious, I was wondering if you chose it for kicks, highly doubt it though. Great video Marnie, I was wondering if you would do a video series like thekaitieab does, "monthly goodbuys", products used up in that month and your thoughts on it.
@Morganeezy YT randomly chooses a screen shot for the thumbnail. It's so ridiculous that I think I have to keep it! I like the idea of Good-buys, but I rarely use up a product each month!
