yes he is fully engaging the clutch but he is still forcing the shifter into place after it has set in the gear thus he can damage the shifter and internal parts of the tranny...if u want this done the right way just get a short shifter and then you dont have to smack the shifter into place everytime just cause you trying to shift as fast as possible
