The temple endowment does not allow you to become Gods as it says in D&C 132:20. There is only one God and that is the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible is from everlasting to everlasting. That means God was never created. You were created by God and so you can never be Gods. Read Isaiah 43:10. You do not have the restored Gospel. You have a corrupted one. @Girlscampqueen Yes, "other things". Only small portions of the tithing money goes to where people think it's going. Most of it goes to pay for church employees, and apostles. The point is that people think they are helping others when they pay tithing, when in reality, the majority of their money isn't going to the people who need it. Just like televangelists who have like a 98% overhead on donations to the starving in Africa. Donate $10 and 20 cents is all that remains once it filters down.

I have a question: Why would God stop giving men revelation and more doctrine and knowledge that helps them return to him? Has the doors of Heaven been closed? What kind of parent would do that to his children. I know that he would never do that because he LOVES us more than we can comprehend. They did not practice polygamy because of the sickness. They did it because the Lord told them to. This is because we are a Restored Church and that means that you have to bring back ordinances that took place before and polygamy was one of them, since Abraham, Noah, etc.. all practiced it. You imply that the the Book of Mormon is a stand alone book. If that were the case, the church would have no use for the other three standard works, nor for the Ensign, New Era, or any other Church publication. Bearing that in mind, your claim that the Book of Mormon is a stand alone book, is incorrect.
Like DrCaustic said, The Book of Mormon does not stand alone. It is tied in with the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price in which they all work together. There are many different scriptures that talk of temple work and baptism for the dead. Some of those include D&C 124, 127, 128, and 138 if you ever want to look it up.
Part of the beauty of these great buildings is knowing what transpires in them. They are not just esthetically pleasing, they bring a peace and comfort to the soul to those with the Spirit when around them. We believe in a "Happily ever after". It's not just for children's stories.
Architecturally the temples are singularly gaudy. It looks like they were inspired by someone who was given a set of LEGOs with which to construct the concept of a building. Compare them with the churches and cathedrals of Europe built 1000 AD on. No comparison.

In fact read 1Nephi 6, where Nephi states that genealogies are of no worth to the children of men. Very strange, don't you think?
In the Bible in 1 Corinithians 15:29 it talks about baptism for the dead and how we do it because the dead will rise again. Nephi is not talking about genealogy being worthless, he is talking about the things of the world, and why would he write his genealogy record when his father, Lehi, already wrote it down. The Lord did not command Nephi to write about his genealogy because Lehi already did and that was not what was meant to be contained in Nephi's record.
I know this is over 2 years old, but no where in that scripture does it state that Nephi says genealogy is of no worth to man. Nephi says, "...neither at any time shall I give it after upon these plates which I am writing; for it is given in the record which has been kept by my father; wherefore, I do not write it in this work. For it sufficeth me to say that we are descendants of Joseph."

The temple endowment does not allow you to become Gods as it says in D&C 132:20. There is only one God and that is the God of the Bible. The God of the Bible is from everlasting to everlasting. That means God was never created. You were created by God and so you can never be Gods. Read Isaiah 43:10. You do not have the restored Gospel. You have a corrupted one. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross, not in the garden of Gethsemane. I have posted it all on my channel.

@Girlscampqueen Yes, "other things". Only small portions of the tithing money goes to where people think it's going. Most of it goes to pay for church employees, and apostles. The point is that people think they are helping others when they pay tithing, when in reality, the majority of their money isn't going to the people who need it. Just like televangelists who have like a 98% overhead on donations to the starving in Africa. Donate $10 and 20 cents is all that remains once it filters down.

You adapt to a different financial situation, and finances stabilize. (You learn to live with less) Paying tithing has nothing to do with it.

It's freaking hideous. If it didn't have so much historical importance. Ugh. The Salt Lake Temple I don't mind so much, but man. The star of David for example is found connected with many religions and groups. Our beliefs are connected to eternal truths. Actually, if you had really studied your religion (from non-LDS sources as well as LDS), you'd know that the inclusion of Masonic symbols and phrases in the Temple ceremony are hardly random. Joseph Smith was fascinated by Masonry.
Did you also know that he had a gun at Carthage, as fired it at the men who tried to burst down the door? Funny, but that part never gets told in official church stuff.

They believe that they're saving the most essential part of the person by the rituals they do in their temples, that is, the soul/spirit! After all men cannot live by bread alone! Look at it from their perspective! And no, I'm not a Mormon, I am a traditional Christian, but I think we should respect others faith beliefs, as long as violence is absent!

Um, i HAVE looked at it from their perspective... I was a Mormon for 30 years and was inside the temple many times doing the ordinances Mormons believe are necessary for "salvation". And with this experience & knowledge, I can tell you... temples are a WASTE of money.
From 1855 to 1889, in Salt Lake City, Mormons had a very ~simple~ building they used for the temple rites, called the Endowment House. Temples today cost at least 15 to 40 million each, by some estimates!

I have a question: Why would God stop giving men revelation and more doctrine and knowledge that helps them return to him? Has the doors of Heaven been closed? What kind of parent would do that to his children. I know that he would never do that because he LOVES us more than we can comprehend. The Angel Moroni is the prophet who showed Joseph Smith where the plates would be and he was the one who put them together under the direction of the Lord!

Please read my comment, never did i say that "LDS" is the same as "free masonry" There is a reason why LDS Temples mimic Masonic Temples- its because Joseph Smith was a dedicated Master Free Mason.
Like most cults down the line of False teachers, Joseph molded together ideas to create a religion contrary to the bible. "endowments" isn't a teaching in the bible nether is "baptisms of the dead". you can believe it, but that doesn't make it true.

Joesph smith did join the masons but just to help with the persecution of the church in early days it didn't help. but he was not a active member of the masons, and if you had a brain he joined the masons way after the church was put back on the earth.

ormons practiced polygamy after a sickness killed many of the men. Brigham Young went to these former puritans and said they had to practice polygamy to increase the numbers of the church. Taking a practise used in the old testiment. I'm sure these very conservative men and women were not real open to the idea.

If I were a former Christian, puritan or otherwise, and someone approached me with the suggestion I could procreate outside the honoured state of marriage without shame, I'd be all for it. But what would my motive be? Indulging a strong temptation to commit, passionately, actions I instinctively know are wrong-but if I don't hold any Christian conviction...why not? The next step--become an LDS and reject Christianity altogether. That's part of the legacy of the C of JC of LDS, is it not?

They did not practice polygamy because of the sickness. They did it because the Lord told them to. This is because we are a Restored Church and that means that you have to bring back ordinances that took place before and polygamy was one of them, since Abraham, Noah, etc.. all practiced it. It was not Brigham Young it was Joesph Smith who was told by the Lord to call a few men to fulfill the work.

If that were the case, the church would have no use for the other three standard works, nor for the Ensign, New Era, or any other Church publication. Like DrCaustic said, The Book of Mormon does not stand alone. It is tied in with the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price in which they all work together. There are many different scriptures that talk of temple work and baptism for the dead. Some of those include D&C 124, 127, 128, and 138 if you ever want to look it up.

She realised her great great grandfather, Brigham Young, was not a prophet when she read his sermons on blood atonement and the blacks. Two years later she realised the Book of Mormon was false too.

He got B. young to sanction an attack on the immigrant party dressed up as the local native americans so they would get the blame. When this failed, they offered truce if the immigrants laid down their arms and left. As They left they were gunned downed. How do you wash the blood from YOUR hands?

Our church is based on Jesus Christ and his teachings. Which includes the bible. But we also have another testament of Jesus Christ, which is The Book of Mormon. I note what you say about the D&C verses. But remember they are latter-day scriptures written by a deeply flawed man. Unfortunately no mention of temple work for the dead in the Bible or indeed in the Book of Mormon - the most correct book of all and containing the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus does not even mention it once in any of his sermons.
In fact read 1Nephi 6, where Nephi states that genealogies are of no worth to the children of men. Very strange, don't you think?

In the Bible in 1 Corinithians 15:29 it talks about baptism for the dead and how we do it because the dead will rise again. Nephi is not talking about genealogy being worthless, he is talking about the things of the world, and why would he write his genealogy record when his father, Lehi, already wrote it down. The Lord did not command Nephi to write about his genealogy because Lehi already did and that was not what was meant to be contained in Nephi's record.

Nephi says, "...neither at any time shall I give it after upon these plates which I am writing; for it is given in the record which has been kept by my father; wherefore, I do not write it in this work.
