@goohber1 not sure, should be some official spec on dell or Amazon site. I've played around with one, maybe double the weight of the ipad or Samsung tablet? I don't think it has Ethernet port, the dock does. Bear in mind the much weaker processor here compared to your laptops but at 1.5ghz it still packs a punch, I'm very interested to see if it runs Adobe Software, 2gb isn't all that bad. But I think it depends on the workload you want out of it. 2hr battery life it seems tho.

yeah, but how light is it. i currently have a 6 pound Dell Inspiron laptob & am looking 4 a much lighter tablet or pc notebook with still the same essentials like ethernet port(as a 2nd option in case WiFi or 3G signals fail with a steady connection). i want actual usb 2.0 ports, not micro usb so I can hook up compatible webcams, keyboards, printers, etc... tablets r great 4 intertainment but i need the productive power of a regular lightweight laptop pc. & operating system easily upgradeable

I jus got this laptop a few days ago, and it has really grown on me. The netbook is great for school and the tablet is great for media. But don't go in expecting it to be an ipad cause its not, lol ita a windows 7 laptop with a touch screen feature. If u can swallow ur pride and realize this, its a great buy.

i bought this same laptop from dell like 3months ago and i still love it!!! it flips so u can watch videos and when you put it on the stand, the speaker are really loud, and its not eventhat expensive. I thought it was totally worth my money and the computer is just awesome :) the touchscreen is very precise and u dont need a pen like u do with that HP compter that also came out tryin to copy DELL. to me..this is the best computer out there so far :) worth your money...just epic :) love it!! :)

It also has a new dual-core processor and is a third thinner, all for the same great price as the first. and for no one wanting to buy any iPads anymore, Apple sold 15 million units from April-December 2010, with sales expected to rise for iPad 2. Samsung have even changed the design of the Galaxy tab after the iPad 2 unveiling, because they know it will kick there arse.

10 years ago, it wasn't too hard for me to spit on Dell an their products. Hard to upgrade and to customize. But that was then... They changed and so did my opinion of them.

At the office, we only order from them from now on. Its mainly for business class models and I was surprised how solid they are. And their Complete Care waranty is not like the shitty extended one Best Buy offers!

No I have no shares on the company but I like to give the thumbs up when I recognize something well made.

I have this laptop. It's very portable and the touchscreen is pretty awesome. The only complaint i have is of the graphics card. The duo comes with the Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 already installed, but you cannot use the lagoon screensaver because the graphics card isn't high enough. I'd assume that with all multi-touch computers, the graphics card would be outstanding. All in all, it's much better than the HP I had before.

It's cool to see new products in this field, but I'm still disappointed.

I don't need a new weird way to flip the screen over that looks actually flimsier and more prone to failure than the standard tablet convertibles.

I do need better screen quality, better multitouch support, active stylus, some buttons while in tablet mode, and 1024 lines of resolution so stuff actually fits when I use it in portrait mode.

I'm willing to pay more and carry more weight for extra inches and decent graphic.

Hey - i had the chance to test the Duo for aprox 3 hours during a Dell training! This Device is really great! An extreme good feeling material where used. Rubber varnish like Sony Ericsson's W880 backside or Logitech MX1000 Laser ... A very good RGB Touch Display ; Dual Core CPU (Atom) ; WLAN-n / WWAN / Bluetooth ; Webcams etc ... Overall a bit heavy (like Asus T101MT) but still nice!
