@TheLongorm no at the moment he is still just a head buried in the ground. kabuto did use his reanimation technique to revive most of the akatsuki however I doubt kakuzu will go back and find hidan.

He was pretty close to transforming into it though. Point is, he meant Naruto's 8 tailed form. Against Oro, he used his 4 tailed form, and against Sasuke he used one tail I believe...he nevr said Naruto was the 8 tailed fox, he just said Naruto's 8 tails form was OP in the Pain fight.

I would be horrified by what Shikamaru could be capable of if he had the fighting/ninjutsu talents equivalent to Sasuke, Neji or Naruto.

He's only using Shadow Weaving techniques and relies on scrolls to summon stuff....if he had huge chakra pools like Naruto/Sasuke and was armed with an arsenal of powerful techniques, he would be 100% unstoppable.

Could probably even single-handedly take down Madara.

His intellect makes even something as simple as Shadow Weaving seem extremely dangerous.

Kakashi is supposed to be smarter than Shikamaru and he has diversity of talents and a Mangekyu Sharingan. His only drawback is his chakra pool which is less than the S classers.

Hmm....that was only said once, by Naruto, which was a long time ago in some filler (Unmask Kakashi! I think).

But I don't think that is the case in Shippuden.

Shikamaru has grown and his intellect has increased exponentially - often Kakashi seeks his advice and strategies (as seen in Shippuden Movie 2). At this rate he will become smartest ninja alive, if not already so.

Technically he hasn't lost a fight yet because if he knows he can't win it, he'll avoid it =P

If he was to lead larger missions, the very fact that Shikamaru laid out the plan will make it 10x more likely to be successful and that's what his enemies have to fear.

He can bring out the best in even the weakest abilities, he can bring out the best in even the weakest ninja.

You really can't beat a high-IQ genius who can factor EVERYTHING into his plans, and can adapt/change his plans on the run...

Shikamaru's cool cuz he's like Lelouch can predict what's going to happen and strategize. Ino is cool cuz of her outfit schwing and choji should perform harri karri. This is my final conclusion of analysis.
