Keith, Garth and Tayler swift are all mainstream, they let the record label tell them witch songs to use to make them populer, Garth was a marketing major so he basicly munipulated the system and that ruined country. Trashville is no longer the grate music place it once was, its now a manufacterd town with bussness looking dudes. I like underground music they keep it real! Although he did make one or two decent song most were extremely conservative Republican radio friendly songs which is exactly what punk rebelled against. Cash, Willie, Waylen, Kristofferson, Hank Williams, Sr. and III are punk as fuck though!

HWIII is one of very, very few 'country' musicians who appreciates the genre. The vast majority creating the music today are doing so only because they could NOT make it in Pop/Rock/Top40.

Hank III is talented in his own right. Grand-pa Williams did a little more selling out than people realize so the 'real' shit that Hank is known for was considered 'sell-out' music at the time. As far as dissing Hank Jr., let's not forget that Bocephus worked really hard to move out from under the shadow of Daddy's fame and carved his own niche, I believe this is what all the haters are truly applauding about one but not the other.
Bottom line:
Hank Sr, Hank Jr., and Hank III - WELL DONE!

1morningsun, if hank3 wanted to get some fast cash he wouldnt put as much work into his concerts as he does. Every time Ive seen him hes played for about 3 hours, and then proceeds to hang out and meet fans, take pictures, and sign autographs. If you dont like it, dont comment.
