You say that like I haven't looked into the issue. Go and sift through statistics. Look at the available number of adoptees that get added to the system every year, and compare that to the actual number that get adopted as well as the number that end up in foster care/ophanages. If we assume that the adoption process was perfect, we would see between a 90% to 100% rate, but we don't. What about these babies with disabilities, or other complications? What's the success rate on those adoptions?

Hi, I came across your video when I was looking through some other ones relating to the subject, and thought that I'd provide some of my own rebuttals to the points which you raised. I completely agree with you when the pregnancy is the result of rape, but I believe the circumstantial arguments you offer for justifying your opinion are redundant.
The main reason for allowing rape victims this choice is that their right to choose wither or not to risk pregnancy has been taken away from them, and so they must be given further opportunity to make their own decision. The reason for abortion out with this, and when it poses a high risk of death to the mother is to enable irresponsibility, and I think you’ll have a hard time justifying taking human life for that purpose.
I would also like you to explain your reasoning behind only unprotected sex being the people’s own fault, as any method of contraception will come with the warning that it is not 100 percent effective. You change the subject to taking about the harm that can potentially come to people after they are born, which is an issue I felt should be addressed separately as it also extends beyond pregnancies as a result of rape.
Can you not see that using this logic, it is perfectly justifiable to kill anyone, provided they are unaware of their impending death, and your reason for doing it is to save them from the negative aspects of life? However, why do you believe that those women you mentioned should be allowed an abortion when it is essentially them refusing to take responsibility for their irresponsibility? How can you say that being in foster care is worse than non-existence? Do you have any idea what it is like to not exist? I didn't think so. At what point does the baby get rights in your opinion? Once you are conceived, I believe you exist. That is why the abortion is performed to remove the other existence from the woman's body. People depend on abortion. Also, there would need to be some adoption reform because it is difficult to adopt in the U.S. Those two things would probably lessen the amount of orphans and I will ask them if they would rather be orphans or have been aborted. I can guess their answer, so can you.
Another thing is if you have a child and can't take care of him/her then usually the child goes to an adoption center.They live most of thier life there unless they are lucky and find a family.If you really think about it a lot of children grow up not knowing thier parents.I also feel there are too many humans on this planet, we are over populating.We have no natural preditors, we live long, and if you calculate it(not sure how accurate this is) humans can have 50 or more kids in thier lifetime.

Lots of people are misinformed about contraception especially in a country that promotes "abstinence" as a solution. You say that like I haven't looked into the issue. Go and sift through statistics. Look at the available number of adoptees that get added to the system every year, and compare that to the actual number that get adopted as well as the number that end up in foster care/ophanages. If we assume that the adoption process was perfect, we would see between a 90% to 100% rate, but we don't. What about these babies with disabilities, or other complications? What's the success rate on those adoptions?

@madmaniac420 After doing a search for 'adoption' on the APA website I found this excerpt from a book “a critical period for adoption was identified at about six to 12 months of age. Children adopted before six months of age were much less likely to show psychological impairments than were those adopted later.” sorry for the lengthyness of these posts, I wanted to be thorough. The focus should be on helping babies who are in bad situations and families that are struggling rather than aborting them. Planned Parenthood makes over a billion dollars a year, think of how much we could use that money to help families in need. Maybe you should focus your energy on that.. just a thought.

The main reason for allowing rape victims this choice is that their right to choose wither or not to risk pregnancy has been taken away from them, and so they must be given further opportunity to make their own decision. The reason for abortion out with this, and when it poses a high risk of death to the mother is to enable irresponsibility, and I think you’ll have a hard time justifying taking human life for that purpose.

I would also like you to explain your reasoning behind only unprotected sex being the people’s own fault, as any method of contraception will come with the warning that it is not 100 percent effective. You change the subject to taking about the harm that can potentially come to people after they are born, which is an issue I felt should be addressed separately as it also extends beyond pregnancies as a result of rape.

Can you not see that using this logic, it is perfectly justifiable to kill anyone, provided they are unaware of their impending death, and your reason for doing it is to save them from the negative aspects of life? @culacula14 My response does not revolve around it being wrong to prevent life from beginning, it revolves around it being wrong to end life. Choosing to be abstinent is clearly the correct choice for people who do not want the responsibilities of sex, and taking contraceptive pills is only wrong when the person taking them will not face up to their responsibilities in the event that they fail.

I understand some pregnancies come with a high potential for death, and I took this into consideration by stating that I think the video's poster would have a very hard time justifying abortion out with this situation, and rape. I personally am as able to judge as anyone, and do not believe it should be an option when the Father does not want his child killed.

Look up the Roe v Wade decision, you can throughout the entire pregnancy. Many people do in the second trimester, it is rare in the third, but people do it.

Once you are conceived, I believe you exist. That is why the abortion is performed to remove the other existence from the woman's body. By definition, being pregnant means another person exists inside you. Adoption, abstinence and being a mother should be your choices in my view.

People depend on abortion. Also, there would need to be some adoption reform because it is difficult to adopt in the U.S. Those two things would probably lessen the amount of orphans and I will ask them if they would rather be orphans or have been aborted.
