I think the idea of having veterans on ECW nowadays is to give them something to do and to help establish the next generation. That was the reason for Mark Henry and Matt Hardy being drafted to ECW and holding that world title. And it breathed such new life into their careers and allowed them to really shine.

It pleased me that Kane was allowed to be the main star of ECW for a while, as he gave some quality matches during that run, carried the brand well and helped put over some rookies.

lol, yea, i was at a show and thats all they do during a comercial, either that or they actually do go at it but you only miss like the opening of the match, but yea, they probably just stood there and gave the crowd some acknowledgment and some taunting show. thats what they did at raw when i was there, so yea, they just stand in the ring and wait for it to be over. when the commercial is over, they tell whoever is supposed to come out that it's time and there it is.
