Only a Tales game can have an ending of such surpassing beauty. I always cry, and I've seen it four times. Every time I hear that a new Tales game is coming, I can't wait to see it all the way through to the end. They're the best games ever, period. The humor, the growth, the adventure, the stories, the characters, the love....It's not anything you'll find in any other series

I personally prefer the mixed theory, replaying the game now, i noticed a lot of things that could relate to the ending. Physically, the hair has blended, and his hair flows the same way as lukes, and his clothes are both black and white. Luke kept his promise to Tear while Asch kept his promise to Natalia and Luke by surviving( he promised it after Luke defeated him) even if he is surviving indirectly..but just my opinion

Game's cool, but the problem was that everything was based on extrinsic value and not intrinsic value. A person's worth was determined by the relationships they had with those around them. Take Van for example. He was a bastard; his actions caused the death of thousands, but everyone was all like "Oh, were sorry for rejecting your bullshit..." instead of just talking to him like someone who liked freedom, but was addicted to being trapped. Smack him say "Dude, stop whining and live your life."

Sure there are ideas about being your own person and self discovery, but I cannot stand how often subjectivity was taken to be an essential part of every single person. Well, his voice sounds like a mellowed out Luke, his hair doesn't have the dark ends or the yellow ends, he carries his sword with his sword with the sheathe on his back as opposed to his side, it's positioned to be used with his left hand... I think it's Luke who had his fonons combined with Asch

His voice sounded like a blend of Asch and Luke. And he has part of Asch's outfit on. I think we can all agree that it's both of them, probably with /all/ their memories.

Instead of them merging together as one or Luke merging back into Asch, I think it's Asch merging into Luke's body. Luke is left handed and his hair flows to the left. Tbh I think yes, it is both luke and Asch but Luke is the dominant one, which is symbolized by Luke defeating Asch before the showdown with Van. Asch has made peace with his tortured life, and has allowed Luke to continue his with Asch within him.

I always thought it was like Luke and Asch together. Like Luke got Asch's traits because Lorelei or something? You can tell by the ending when he tells Tear, "I made a promise to someone that I'd come back" that it was Luke, but the hair looks like Asch's

I think Luke and Asch fuse together and the Luke now holds both memory of each of them thats how most of the anime I watch turns out. He an be either Luke or Asch since he holds both memorys so it really is up for us to decide. I assume it Luke becuase of his clothes but im not so sure myself.

I would believe if Asch was to return though. Luke carried Asch out, at the very end, could be just for his body to be buried or it can be for something else. Who knows. People said that he (Luke) was gone for a whole year or something, however it was never said what he was doing during that time.

As long as it has Tear...though in this case, I would rather have Asch come back then, make Tear's life more miserable and surprise the crap out of everyone (the majority of the people) who expected Luke to be the mystery red-head!
