  • Personally, I like 4, 5,6 whatever edition it was - but what lucas is doing to the blu ray ones - well each to their own really xD

  • Obviously Obi Wan has never been to Wisbech.

  • Mos Youtube Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of trolls and thumbs-up whores. We must be cautious.

  • @ATMofAnubis lol Yes, now all we need are some Stormtrooper mods to come in and clean the place up!

  • Our local discoclub, you will never find the more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

  • Wheres the subtitles when greedos talking, were they not in the original?

  • LOL. I've always loved that guy at 4:00 with the big pipe. Just like "Nothin' to see here, nope, nothin' at all, good day sir!"

I also miss the original version. I wish they'd just do what Ridley Scott did with Blade Runner: The Final Cut. Clean up the effects and the picture quality so they don't look tacky, but don't go screwing with things and altering it beyond all recognition. Just thinking of Greedo shooting first or *gag* the awful changes to Jabba's palace in ROTJ make me sick.

  • Ah how I miss the original... if only Lucas would respect his fans and release it along with the newer version on the Blu-Ray....

Instead he does nothing but alienate the people that gave their money to him and made him rich and famous in the first place.

  • Is it just me, or is that Tucson as viewed from Mt. Lemmon?

  • Oh yeah, and R2 going down the steps @ 7:52. Lol!!

  • I love watching Chewie's face while Han is talking. So funny. And why wouldn't Han shoot first? Greedo's holding a gun on him and just said he was looking forward to killing him.

  • I love this so much better than the Lucas CGI remastered versions.

  • I prefer too this version and Ep IV is my favorite movie of all time, not only among Star Wars saga but I will never, never agree on the fact that prequels are not good. Well... Ep I is sometimes ridiculous but II and III are often underrated and victim of prejudice

  • Solo: Yes, I bet you have! *fries Greddo*

  • God i love the old star wars movies... i hated phantom menace... didn't mind attack of the clones or revenge of the sith.

  • Okay, what is the name of the contact that leads them to Solo? He's the guy with Chewie at 02:19. Obvious rebel. Poor dude's cover wouldn't stand a chance if he wasn't hooking up the Sandtroopers with the freaky-hot spice-using hookers that appear at 2:33 on Han's tab.

  • This scene is PIVOTAL to the movie. It's where Luke, the Hero, is lifted out of his comfort zone and everything begins to change. They did a great job of putting the audience out of the comfort zone too. All the aliens, the weird drinks, the fighting. Things get gritty and folks start loosing limbs. Then someone calls the COPS! All the while the heroes new grimy little friend gets into some trouble right after saving their ass. Talk about conflict! The plot changes significantly but still works.

  • ugh i love this! so much better all the CGI shit the lukas put on the screen.. i dont know what his deal is with shoving more shit onto the screen.. its so offensive he not only had to ruin the back story with the prequals but shove more shit onto the screen in the originals and that spy dude's nose looks like a horse cock

  • @mrpickles1 Yes, Lucas really gets up my nose too with his obsession with CGI. You're far from the only one who's taken to hating CGI, mostly because of Lucas "shoving more shit onto the screen" (love your way with words). Most Hollywood directors these days have very similar views to yours, hence they only use CGI when they really have to. But poor old GL just hasn't caught onto the fact that there's a backlash against CGI, he's so caught up in his own tiny CGI world behind his little computer.

  • @Bubo25 my friend go to redlettermedia and watch reviews... SOOO frickin funny reviews of the star wars prequals

  • @Bubo25 my friend go to red letter media and watch reviews... SOOO frickin funny reviews of the star wars prequals

  • @Bubo25 It's hard to believe that George Lucas once said that a special effect was just a tool for telling a story and that a special effect without a story is pretty boring. I wonder if he would even recognize himself if he saw that footage

  • @Bubo25 I think it's because he's catering to the 5-year-olds who would buy all the toys. The Ultra-geeks make their own Star Wars armor and stuff, while the kids buy the official toys and make Lucas rich.......so he supports them over the ultra-geeks.

  • c'mon guys theres nothing wrong with the audio!

  • We must be cautious.

  • Listing Lazily to the Left

  • ...weak audio...

  • @SteveSabbai Look when I posted it. It was good for its time. Saying things like "It's got weak audio" or "It's got a bad picture" is like saying "A P-51 Mustang is a bad fighter". Yeah, it's bad by today's standards, but not for its time.

  • @Bubo25 ...at least its not the "Retarded Edition" :)

  • 2:30

    "It's just because I'm GOLD! Isn't it!"

  • The audio sounds like shit, it's the wrong pitch. I hate it when people upload videos with the wrong pitch.

  • @kylefax It's not the wrong pitch, it's just lacking volume. And I posted this over 2 and a half years ago, which was good for its time.

  • @Bubo25 don't even apologize... these whiners should go buy the movie if they want quality so bad. thanks for putting up a great part of a great movie for my broke ass

  • @kylefax It's all dependent on your audio equipment. Most stuff plays pretty sharp. get yourself in tune and then try to play along with a CD or tape and you'll be waay flat by comparison. Then, get in tune with that, and go try to play with the same CD or tape on a different device and you'll be out of tune wit it too, flat or sharp depending on the device. Internet is no different, it's all digital, but it still gets converted to analog (I.E. - sound waves) at some point.

  • @kylefax YOU'RE A FUCKING TOOL! Did you hear THAT pitch, bitch?

  • @letsbeone

Go fuck a dead deer you neckbeard.

  • @kylefax What's tha'? Can't read ya I am skull fucking your dad too hard.

  • Movies used to FEEL like movies.

  • Poor Greedo.

  • Those aliens do play Jazz well. :)

  • at 0:10 seconds Obi Wan sums up the centre of my home town on a Friday and Saturday night.

  • Han shot first.

  • The original has a carm to it.

  • i drink in a pub just like this! theres no lightsabres or wookies but theres plenty of freaks, phantom menace and attack of the clones werent as good but there was some brilliant battle scenes in em so i still occasionally watch them, darth maul was probably the best sabre fight in terms of action and the battle at the end of clones was mint!

  • I ran a bar JUST LIKE THIS! if that little bitch tugged on my shirt for a drink he would have got a highball glass to the teeth!

  • did u kno u can spot bossk in all 3 movies of 4 5 6! in the 4th go to 2:44 u can slighly see him! and in 5 of cousre when darth vader rectuits and in the sixth in jabbas saik barge! :D!

  • That's not Bossk. It's another Trandoshan.

  • They all look alike, although Bossk's scales might be a shade darker green.

  • Racist.

  • LOL

  • Wow, I forgot how obnoxious Luke was in the first one. What a little bitch.

  • It's the good old version ! We all know Greedo didn't have the chance to shoot.

No computer graphics, no artificial Jabba -

the way it should be. It's all about art - and the silly movies of 1999 and 2002 have nothing to do with art, they are just industrial products.

  • The silly movies of 1999 and 2002 were pieces of shit. Jar-jar Binks deserves to be westinghoused, and his dead body put in the guillotine. Revenge of the Sith was far better than Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, but is definitely no Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back. Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones caused me to piss myself because they were so shitty, and I am ever watching them again. Star Wars and Empir Strikes Back will be watched again and again for many (>50) more years.

  • At least the original versions.
