They Catch native animals and put them into breeding programs before dumping 1080 to kill the pests that are killing the native animals in the first place, Then release the native animals and their young back into the forest when all the 1080 has broken down (a few months). In my opinion its quite a good idea, and nobodys going to venture straight into the heart of southland where there are no bearings, tracks etc are they? so shut up and stop spreading shit about our beautiful country.
