depends on how often you use them....I think pigments are the way to go! they are 19.50 but....you can use them as; a blush, a highlighter, eyeshadows, lipsticks, nail polish and etc....i doubt you will ever run out of one. those other pigments loreal pigments are 12 and I think less the half the size then a mac...and you could always get mac pigments smaples online...i know some web sites if you are interested!

ben nye can be used as all over face/body color. it's totally usable as eyeshadow. (you are right, they are very vibrant! i'm glad i got mine ^^)
