well if u are using wifi, these days not back when they came out, a 130gb PS3 is just as expensive asthe xbox is with the wifi adapter and half a year of xbox live(and thats if u get the xbox with 256mb of memory which enough for like 50 songs to give u an idea) so personally i think PS3 is a better deal
I think the Xbox 360 always costs more. Firstly you have live which is like £30 a year. Secondly many people have to go wireless so they buy a wireless adapter which is like another £50. So that's an £80 increase already. And then there is the pityful hardrives. which are such a ripoff for the size. As a console on it's own I think the PS3 stands supreme. I only own an Xbox 360 as that is what my mates seem to have and that's the only reason I have one. Otherwise i would be playing on a PS3

ps3s are a lot easyer to mod than the 360DX but xbox360s are stronger i drop a rockband gutair on the 360 it still worked ps3 are a lot easyer to hook up to wireless wifi because its built in i got to say ps3 is better but i only have a xbox 360 it still pretty good

both consoles have there ups and downs, even though the PS3 has a low failer rate doesn't mean it's a good system right away, sure it's inportantant but to me i look at what kind of games interest me the most and i have to go with the 360 on that one, Halo Wars is actually a very fun game and probably the best RTS out there right now.
i could of bought a PS3 but i realized there no point because non of my friends have one and i don't even have a high def TV.
The PS3 has a hell of a lot more power than the 360. You forgot to mention that Blu Ray discs are capable of holding way more than your standard disc the 360 supports. Look at MGS4 or Killzone 2. Those games wouldn't even be able to run on 360.
in my opinion killzone is more intense than halo. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy playing halo 3 but it seems to get to repetitive. killzone can get repetitive as well but with 32 people in the server you are more focused on not being shot rather than if it is repetitive. the only thing that i wish killzone did that halo has is the editor,not sure what its called (allows you to watch and save your matches again)
i actually don't know most of the maps until i see them because i don't have a 360 so i only get to play if i go over to a friends house. i was thinking more in general, it is take over one part of the map(team death match) and you basically win. but some of my friends play halo mlg so that prolly effects why we win alot :P

I got both :P On the PS3 I got Linux set up and it also has a browser. Has a rechargeable control from the start,don't have to buy a charger kit. The bad, it don't have good games. Socom has PS2 GFX but better and MGS4 is more of a SP game.
The Xbox though keeps on coming out with blockbuster games and the controller on it don't suck as much as the PS3's. If it were possible, I would much rather prefer the to use 360 controller on the PS3. Oh and you have to buy a separate Composite/HDMI cable
