  • 1929 Gibson TB3 40 hole archtop conversion banjo.. Don't tighten the head so tight it's about to bust.. and don't pick on top of the bridge.. Prewar archtop banjo's have a great sound if you play them right.

  • May I ask what model that banjo is? It sounds nothing like most archtop banjos, sounds like a flathead! I have a 1926 TB3 with a Huber tone ring.

  • Thank you for having published this video. I like it because you are a good banjo picker and you show me how you are doing it with no words .. just playing. I used to play backup picking like that so long ago, and for some rasons, I didn't pick banjo for 20 years. I'm starting again today, and what you do reminds me of what I should be able to do again ASAP.Thank you again, I wish you great fun and success.
