  • 2:49 - SPPAAYYAAMM.

    Max - expedition. lol

    Just kidding, excellent vid.

  • Excellent review, maxpedition products rock

  • is this the guy from reno 911?

  • isn't this Cleaveland...

  • you pronounced maxpedition and the name of the bag wrong fyi lol

  • No offense but its pronounced Max pedition not max X pedition and pro tee us not pro teese

  • It's Maxpedition, NOT "maxexpedition. His mispronunciation of the product really irks me as well as the fact that he carry's some fairytale book with him as well, (very infantile)makes me doubt his competence in reviewing this product.

  • @00dragonfly

the fact that you call a bible a "fairy tale book" just shows how 'infantile' you are and your lack of respect for people

  • @abusedbunny I agree, even though I don't believe in the bible. It's just rude, let him believe what he wants to.

  • i find it much easier to attach a pack like this to a canteen belt so that if u need to u can add more packs

  • Make your boot laces out of 550 para cord and you will always have about 10 feet of para cord

  • @calld2serve Good idea if you are carrying boot laces :D

  • @20GATE91 If you would read what was actually said you would notice that I said to make your boot laces from 550 cord.

  • @Texasoutback i know but what i meant was to carry boot laces cause if you have to use the 550 cord from your boots then you will have no boot laces. Which means no more tied boots :D

  • @20GATE91 Considering this is about survival you decide. Lace up your boots or have 10 feet of 550 cord that could save your life.

  • Jimbugismyname... Taiwan is not owned and ruled by China...You are thinking of Hong Kong.

  • not to be a jerk or anything but the attachment points is MOLLE Webbing. Modular Lightweight load carrying equipment

  • I love that song that's on the phone.

  • i bought the sabrecat

  • omg buddy love your accent heheh

  • iv been thinking about buying one of these and it looks pretty good, the boot lace idea was good but i usually carry about 5 ft of paracord if not more to use as a boot lace but it is also more durable and has many more uses

  • Love the accent ! =)

  • kev rules!!

  • I second that!!!!

  • If only he would run for president in 2012!

  • Only if he promises never to grow a charlie chaplain moustache.

    Lol Kidding

  • that is a great bag-bought one-works great

  • i laugh at your misuse of the "-" i tried reading and was gettin all confused then realized what you did.

  • i have one of those outstanding for hunting

  • How much are they? I think I'm going to pick one up. :)

  • I wouldn't be surprised that the pack can fit a 2-quart canteen and alot of other stuff. Besides being bought by Hikers and civilians, they also are bought by alot of Military Contractor's and security agencies. They serve well for people like that, dependable and reliable even for a pack.

  • I like the pack but I think i'd rather just have a camelbak ambush.

  • Thanks for the video...

Do you find that a full canteen mounted in that configuration is cumbersome given the center of gravity being low and away from the body? I might be inclined to mount the canteen on the fanny pack straps at my hip.

I typically wear my compass around my neck and under my outer shirt. Also, I prefer the sturdy bic brand lighter instead of matches - it's like having a thousand matches and an extra flint.

  • awesome review

  • I find Topographical maps and a compass better than GPS. Mainly because I grew up using them. But, thats me. Nice video, that pack seems ideal

    for day hikes and hunting.

  • It's just not Kev without the hat.

  • kewl vid cant wait 4 the next vid in a week

  • Looks almost identical to the Snugpak Response pack, but a little bigger maybe.

  • They Come in Tan black green and ACU Camo

  • from the pics ive seen, i always thought the proteus was a bit wider. good to see it on a real person.

love your vids, always educational, keep up the good work!

    .

  • Good job Kev. I just ordered a Maxpedition Sitka Back Pack and can't wait to use it. I'm glad to hear a good review on their products.

    Fullthrottle

  • Brilliant video, very clear video too, what camera do you use?

  • Thanks for the video. Maxpedition makes excellent gear.

  • cool versipack.

i gotta get one of thoes Maxpedition versipack.

  • Wake me up when its done...

    Thank you.

  • nice pack up

  • i like it

  • lmao when i was 14 i collecetd fanny packs... the paw is cumming prepare for the quaks!

  • good review i have been checking out a fatboy versipack

  • taiwan is better than china?? wtf. what kind of fucking theory is that???

anyways other than that... okay vid.

  • You sure do get a lot of complainers & jerks that respond to your videos huh? Well, I enjoyed the video, and I appreciate the review. I've thought about getting several things from Maxpedition, including a small pack they make that I might turn into my first aid kit. I'll be interested to see how it holds up as you use it, but I would recommend most things from Maxpedition. Quality stuff, and often worth the extra money. Glad you put your Bible in there too. Don't leave home without it.

  • dont know if anyone wrote this but that canteen may stress on your body after being so far from your center of gravity? id wear it on the cumber/belt strap.

  • why do you bother taking the bible when you are so pressed for space? Possibly to light a fire?

  • inspiration

  • Good luck with the self-esteem issues there emo kid.

  • How does that relate at all to my comment? And why do you assume I'm emo? And what does emo mean anyway? That you are perceptive to your environment and it invokes emotion?

Good luck with being an idiot.

  • This truly is a beauty of a pack but the snugpak response pack is just as good and a tenth of the price , i love maxpedition but its so dam pricey, but then again i love every thing snugpak make too,,

so if ur thinking of getting this pack ,please look at the snugpak response pack first

  • I don't go on hikes, but if it were me I'd have the compass around my neck so I wouldn't risk losing it.

  • no offense nbenicewicz but if you have it straped around your wrist its pretty hard not to notice it falling off, i personally thread my belt through it and put it in my pocket cause i hate anything hanging off me but around the wrist is a super good practice if you ever do start hiking

  • wearing a fanny pack..??? yeah i agree..

  • very good video. Is the canteen on the very back a lot of weight on the lower back? Would it not be much better say over your shoulder with the carrying strap it came with. That way it would even out the weight. just my two cents, Hamm336 in washington state

  • i never thought of useing this type of pack for a day pack. i may try it. the thing i'm not sure about; is that the water may be to heavy and uncomfortable... is it? i always use a backpack but on short hicks this could be the key, lighter is always better. glad to see your packin a Bible that brings joy to me

  • please do you gear review more upclose like nutnfancy does... that'll be more enjoyable to watch .. i really like your survival videos.. but i don't like fannypacks so i din't watch this... thanx for all ur work.. good job... keep em coming..

  • good gear. I always take maps and a compass wherever I go camping. nice to see what you pack.

  • Great, glad your still making vids.

    Keep them coming.

  • took long enough lol, iv been waiting for some new vids in case you couldnt tell

  • taiwan's better than china. no offense dude but fanny packs are pretty gay....

  • i agree.... you look dorky... i'd rather have a black pack..

  • this video made my day, good to see another video.

  • mmmmmmm.... MRE

  • I want a Ham Slice with Jalapeno cheese!

  • what about a video on what canned food has the longest shelf life? cheers mate

  • is that a survival fish tank in the back? farm raised goldfish?

  • Good stuff. Glad to see you still making vids Kev.

  • i like your videos man thats some good information

  • Five Stars!!

  • I dontr know if I would like the weight of a 2qt canteen that far off my body

  • good point

  • maybe if the canteen could be jointed under the pack

  • 5/5

  • I use a Jumbo Versipack as my EDC bag.

  • Maxpedition gear is costly but will last a life time. They also sell ad on's. I love mine. Good to see you are doing well, Kev. Best wishes to you.

  • Good review. I've heard good things about them.

  • GREAT review

  • Lets not turn this into a political discussion - Please.

  • my bad great video

  • Nice pack.

  • twwain is a provivce of china

  • Wikipedia:

Taiwan (historically 大灣/台員/大員/台圓/大圓/台窩灣) is an island in East Asia. "Taiwan" is also commonly used to refer to the area under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China government.

I guess it's like Tibet without the protests.

  • yea i dont like china

  • Yeah, Japan is better.

  • No, Taiwan is it own country. If china invades taiwan, the usa will defend taiwan. There is a defense pact that us and taiwan have signed.

  • taiwan is its own country, not a province of china. Thats like saying canada is a state in the U.S.

  • Canada is the worst state in the USA!

  • china which is much larger and powerful than tawain clams it as its 26th province
