Thirdly the way we get great things done is by not caring who gets the credit. Franklin was best friends with one of the greatest preachers of that day, George Whitefield.

Jefferson made sure that in his first budget, there was money set aside to start new churches and to purchase Bibles.

To assume that they were not Christian because they were deists demonstrates a misunderstanding of deism. It was a way to understand how the God of the Bible related to man. It was all about the closeness of God vs. His separateness (holiness).

The Bible has a lot to say about abortion. Off the top of my head Exodus 20:13 says, "You shall not murder." That speaks against abortion. What's inside the mother can be murdered, because it is alive (Scientific fact by the way). The point of the video is so people can look deeper inside themselves and see what their conscience is telling them is right.

I am an evangelical. I usually vote Republican but I just can't this election. My reading of the Bible says we are to care for the widows and the poor and be peacemakers, values I can't find in McCain. I'll be voting for Obama this year.

I like if Grassroots was upset by this Christian Video compared to the Catholic video this would probably taken down already. I agree that we should share a common message. My furstration lies with Grassroots getting no more credit for the film than a passing sentence. Perhaps a link in the sidebar to their website, or to the original video could be added?

I credit the Grassroots organization in the comments. I felt that it was an incredible video and I know that the catholic theme turns some people off. I figured this message needs to get out to others. Let's join together on this thing and work with each other on things we can agree on. God Bless.

Indeed, all one needs to do is look up the Catholic Vote website, or check out the "related videos" column to the left and view the video titled Catholic Vote 2008. This was originally an awesome vid by Grassroots Films in New York, and I find it sad that this church in Southern Cal. is passing it off as their own. This version should be taken down, and if the community that posted it should put up their own work, and not someone else's that has been edited a small bit to take out Catholic refs.

Actually, if you check the individual's profile, you will see that he makes vids for his church. Also, I apologize, it is not actually a church, but an association of churches and pastors, the Conservative Baptist Association of So. Cal. Still, the individual should respect the rights of Grassroots Films. (And YES, I totally agree with you that the word should get out, but taking someone else's hard work is distasteful, no matter how important the message, or good the video.)

I would argue quite the opposite that our pressing issues are these moral issues. Many of the other issues will fall into place when we are determined not to submit to a party, but to a Holy God.

The Constitution is secular in the sense it's not sacred, but it was built on sacred (Biblical) principles.

Franklin, Payne, Jefferson, in fact only John adams was a fundamental christian, and they all believed above all in religious freedom, church and state separate.
