@HalfAzNPersuasioN WOW howed that happen? did u take care of ur stuff? because u got to. and another possibility that it broke is because u were in a very warm room! the ps3 will get hot very fast when its in a warm room and if theres soo much heat going to the console it could fuck up ur motherboard A.K.A gets u the yellow light of death OR with the intense heat could fry ur blu ray drive! trust me i know because both of those things happend to me

@kingratchet93 trust me, i do take good care of my stuff, i still got my frikken sega and n64 and still works perfectly!. i got my fat ps3 fixed (cuz stillin warranty) and then it broke AGAIN same problem AFTER warranty and sony didnt do shit about it, and i put it on its side most of the time and it has extra fans :( so i doubt it...*sigh* badluck i suppose

I got same problem, so the last thing i do, just turn off ur ps3 and unplug all cable or wire from ur ps3, wait about 5minute and plug in all cable to ur ps3 and you ready to go.... Thats all i do and i got my ps3 read the games again.

ur blu-ray disc player is dirty, try opening it and clean it or something, if that doesnt work then ur blu-ray that plays Games is dead, if its dead then ohhh well gotta get it replace..

2 options 1 is bettr copy evrything to a flashdrive if u have downloaded stuff from ps store go to account settings and deactivate ur ps3 system then go 2 system settings and restore ps3 system and fastest way if that dont work then 2 go to ps home press ps button and the game will show up. i found the 1st 1 last wk by accident and 2 idk how i found really i hope it works

yeah i had the same problem no disks would work, so i put in a dvd cleaning disk to clean the lens... works like it is brand new... u just have to dust off the lens now and then and place ur ps3 in a nice open are to run that dosnt collect dirt and dust

You can find vids on how to open ur PS3, but that isnt going to help(i dont think) cause i had the same problem last year and had to send it in to get fixed(after i tried cleaning the inside) The problem was that there was a cracked lens or something like that. But hopefully it's something u can fix urself

i found out how to open the top. the screw to opening it is behind the warrenty sticker. BUT BE CARFUL!!!!!!! if u pull the warrenty skicker u will void the warrenty. but if u dont have a warrenty like me then u dont have to worrie about it. but listen the screw used to open the top is very special. u will need a very special screw driver to open it. i would not if i were u because if u mess with one simple thing in there u could seriously fuck up ur system dude.

my friend had the same problem a few months ago, his wouldnt read the disc. if its only 10 months old u sud check u still have a warrent on it but my friend had to take his in and buy a new one but he had a warrent still on it so i think he got money off.

You just need to change your disk drive or if available you need to open your ps3 and then just clean the inside so it will read your games. I'll try to look up how to get your ps3 to read games

Is this the same PS3 that had YLOD? Sony might have changed something when fixing it, that would have messed up the disk drive. I cant really think of anything that can be one to fix it, unless you open your PS3 up to have a look, but then you'd void your warrenty :?

no its not the same as YLOD. the PS3 works but it wont read disc so its basically useless now. im now mad at playstation. i take back what i said about 60GB being the best PS3 model. it sucks. that was my 3rd PS3 and now i need a fourth one. thats it i need to upgrade from 60GB model to 120GB PS3 slim. they dont get as much dust in them and it stays completely cool. so im done with the fat PS3's.
