  • O.o

  • Theres actually a lot that goes into using Green Screens and Mark will walk you though all the tips and tricks you need to know to get the best final product when working with Chroma Key screens.

  • I went to Wall Mart and got light lime colored sheet. It seems to work, but in all my video I get these moving flickering flakes... Very annoying, to see these moving distortions in my green screen tests. Is this caused by my green screen (poor mans version) or something else that I'm doing. I use a MAC, and Imovie, and video adjustments do help a bit, but does not give me the resulting I'm seeking.

    Thanks for any help!

  • Hey Mark:

Is it possible to just use a portion of a green screen? Let's say I have a wall with a hole in it and I hung the green screen behind the hole and took video of the whole wall (with the hole taking up about 50% od he whole shot. Could I then just superimpose over the "Green Hole"...or does the green screen need fill the entire frame? Confused?

    Thanks,

    Jim

  • i think u can garbage matte that :o

  • Thats kool thanks

  • hey mark i was wondering if you can do a video on the extra effect blue screen for movie making because i am having trouble. By the way thanks for all the tips

  • I'm working on a video about that stuff its in pre-production works :)

  • Can anyone suggest some software for live keying?

  • serious magic was a good one back in the day

  • I tried this before. My main problem is that I don't have access to a 4:2:2 camera, I all I can get a hold of is shitty miniDV and HDV cameras. Can I still key with a miniDV camera or is it just not worth trying?

  • You can key with a miniDV camera not HDV :) I do all my keying with a miniDV cam but I have use my DVCpro50 cam too. Its all in the software you use :)

  • cool that helps a lot

  • cool tnx

  • Hey man, you rock! Great videos...

  • supper sweet. i was looking at fxhome the 500 buck package. but if i can get more layering that would be great. i do like fxhome lisencing offer. but if i can get one through vegas or a indepanedt deal that would work. 200 bucks for this is a great price. thanks. peace. gregg

  • how is this teaser?

  • Hey Mark,

Thanx for making this videos, as a videographer I find this vids very usefull when I have to explain people and pupils basic knowledge. However I'd like to suggest you to number your episodes, because it will be easier to follow your videos sequences.

Thanx and keep making great videos like these!

  • thanks I'll do that :)

  • ROCK ON!!!

  • thanks!

  • DPwyv.

  • What happened to rest of the video?

  • watch the description box.

  • its a teaser :)

  • MIKMA WAS HERE

  • ya i gotta get a better editing softwear to use 3 or 4 layering vids to go into one video to complete it. are you going to be selling these cds in a box set when your done or say like every couple of cds after you make them?

ive decided to keep this camcorder for now due to bills. and really put a new editing softwear to its limits. could you recomend a program that will let me use 4 layers into one video all at once? thanks.

    . . ^

    ,o

    peace. gregg

  • I'll probably have a boxed set but it will more than likely run over 200 because I have over 10 DVD's planned.

Look at vegas pro 8 its unlimited layers

  • aww, so many teasers! they don't tell me anythig except 'buy the new video!'

...which I will obviously have to do. ^_~

  • its a teaser :)

  • MarkApsolon i hope you sell out on your new series. I know you have taught me so much and I plan on buying them myself in the near future. Soon as i get past all this medical crap I will be ordering every DVD you offer. All I know is you teach things so simple that even I can get it. That says a lot...lol

  • thanks Michele

  • awsome!

  • is your DVD free mark?

  • its not free. sorry

  • oh no problem...might still get it anyway..thanks for the reply,,xD

  • What is the difference b/t the PAL version and the NTSC version?? Is it a matter of quality in the videos or the kind of software that its being used with?

  • Ya I was wondering the same thing.

btw; nice teaser mark, but how informitive is the whole thing? it is just lighting, backdrops and the like?

  • well different countrys use either pal or ntsc and someother ones. anyway you need to get the right type which will work in your reigon and dvd player. i dont know much about it but i know they have different frame rates and screen size.

  • thanks for the info

  • There's a resolution issue. PAL (which is europe) has a greater resolution while NTSC (US and ASIA) have a lower one. I don't think you guys need more detail. However, if you're planning on viewing the video on your computer - then it doesn't really matter. But purchase the NTSC in case you will watch it on a standalone dvd-player.

  • jep, NTSC has a resolution of 720pix by 480 pix, PAL has 720pix by 576pix. Another issue is framerate: PAL has 25 frames per second (fps), NTSC has 29,97 fps. That's what I know;)

  • Isnt PAL like a program/game from outer region

    As in, Europe or something

and NTSC is American < I think thats how it goes

about the Quality, i dont know if there is a diffrence, I doubt it.

  • the res between pal and ntsc is not an issue. Pal has 576 lines while ntsc has 480. The frame rate is different and ntsc has almost twice as much data then pal. pal is closer to film at 25 frames per sec while ntsc is 30 fps. ntsc color is just a bit better then pal (thats a little subjective..lol) Anyway you really cant tell the different and the dvds are region 0

  • The new Indiana Jones movie sucked.

  • god I dont know I need to go to bed. I finally got all these uplaoded so they can do what they need with them..lol

  • It's a little past midnight here; would that be evening or morning? I want to make sure I understand your greeting.
