unfortunately there are pitchers who think they are the best, maybe who are told are good by a few college coaches but will only make it so far with a poor attitude. Attitude is truly everything!

@llamas991 repeating what PA says about attitude, you should also think about growing up a bit, mentally. "this sucks i already know..."? Was this video intended for just YOU? I have a 9 year old who's learned much from this. The world doesn't revolve around you or Clayton Kershaw but the difference is he knows this, Cy Young Award and all. I promise you won't get as far as you think until you pull your head out of your arse.
I'm 15 and I throw 3 quarters and clock 79 and I was wondering if I should start to throw over the top even though I feel more soreness after throwing over top?
Anyone have advice, I never had training I havent played baseball since 5th grade I am 17 and apparently I throw 65mph and my friend who throws 88 and my age says that is pretty good considering I never had training. Any tips?
Good tips about leading with your hips, but it bothered me when he talked about curling your leg to gain velocity.. if you look at his foot, it is not parallel with the rubber at all, i can understand it being a little bit "cocked", but that is pretty extreme.. when he comes to his balance point, his leg is not very curled at all in terms of his body position, but it looks that way.. if you were to turn that foot so that it was parallel with the rubber, im sure you would see a vertical leg lift.
hey i just wanna say thanks i am a good lefty pitcher wit insane acuracy...this vid will deffinitly help with the speed part..im 14 and now ican prob throw (with the help of this video) mid 60s..and thats good for someone who has been playing for only 3 years right?
Slide step isnt just sliding your foot along the ground...You wind up a little bit so you have power and quickly move towards home plate. Watch any major league pitcher with runners on base and you will see they wont just move forward, they pick up a little bit and move quickly towards home plate.
I did notice that third base was behind me. lol the field was muddy that day so I decided to just throw do second. I didn't strike anyone out that day.
Yeah man thanks, I have definitely be doing the slide step and putting pressure on my elbow. I hope this helps me with a faster fast ball, and take some stress off my elbow, then again I prolly should stop throwing so many sliders and curves lol

I can't seem to increase my stride distance, or come anywhere near 100% of my height. At present I can only reach about 75% of my height and practice hasn't seen me gain any distance. I'm 21 y/o & 6'5. Any advice or techniques I can try to help gain some stride distance? Thanks.
Sure this will help you add a couple mph's on, but one thing people forget is that arm speed is genetic, the guys that throw 90 were born to throw 90. Arm speed is like foot speed, you can improve it a little bit but its something you can't teach. Just thoght i'd drop that on you guys

Tell me, where should his hand with the ball be when ever he at the position with his knee up? I've heard that he should have it by his side near belt loop and then continue low and then loop upwards till the sumation of throwing? please help

You will only throw across your body if you overly close your shoulders with your hips. Take a look at some MLB clips, you'll see that all of them close their leg to the hitter. This allows you to keep from opening much too soon and losing velocity.

I was always told that you want to keep your weight on your back leg when you stride cause it creates torque with your hips which leads into power.

When you rotate your body that much it causes you to open up and put a lot of pressure on your elbow...
