  • Only one of the few things The Netherlands can still be proud of :')

  • @moepskie

Born in Netherlands but studied and grew up in Belgium (Lièeg & Brussels)

  • I love him I wish he would do a duet with Gianluca Paganelli

  • Is the verry best

  • Je connais aucune personne comme lui qui peu rassembler au temp de musicien et spéctacteure comme lui. S.T

  • trylistening to the pipes and drums of then Black Watch (RHR)

  • also suggest some of the three hundred were "dummy" pipers

  • sory your experience is so limited. Try any regimental band

  • Rieu is the best !! but he became amazing in Maastrich..

  • scotland the brave is the march past of the highland divisdion. Amazing Grace was disgraceful. It was never a pipe tune anyway

  • @ianskidmore

You're kidding, right? That was terrific - possibly the best pipes and orchestra rendition I've heard in years.

  • Just one word, AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic

  • Proud to be a Scottish-Canadian!

  • What I can say is just one single word, "SPECTACULAR".

  • Eire honnie- II Lyres au nid de l'ire O'Neill. Sa C'est de la Muse xxxssss

  • i was there it was an amazing night the sights and sounds. really enjoyed myself.

  • The best orchestra and orchestra leader today bar none.

  • the name of this song is "scotland the beauty"

  • I am a Pipe Major of a Pipe Band. Allow me to assure you that the tune is "Scotland the Brave". The pipers repeat the tune several times. After the break we hear a solo piper playing "Amazing Grace" then the Band picks it up and repeats it.

  • @wsnPiper Can't see in that video, but the solo piper is usually Manoe Konings, who usually plays clarinet, but also a few other instruments.

  • 400 brass players or 300 bag pipers, the guy never ends to amaze the audiences. and thousands of friends who watch and have a good time. many a great 'star' only can dream of this.

  • AMAZING!!!! wow just amazing!

  • the first part was scotland the brave and the second piece was amazing grace

  • Amazing grace done by a single bagpipe sounds a lot more haunting then with a whole band i buried my grandfather and father with a single piper doing Amazing grace and other people who were visiting other graves stopped and listened

  • And he's dutch, so, from the Netherlands. They, the dutch, speak 4 languages and smoke marihuana too, but trade and mathematics are their focus. Rieu 4 ever...

  • My mom was there! She filmed from right up front. This was an AMAZING performance! Cool to see a wider angle recording.

  • there is viking blood in scots and irish, without a doubt

  • I come from a strong Scottish family and my dear mother who is now passed just loved the song, "Scotland the Brave". Thank you so much for posting this video footage; when I play it I'll think of my mom who is greatly missed but her memory is never gone..."D"

  • André Riew is a genious and Amazing grace is a piece that tounds as out of this world. Pipes, which I didn't care abou t n ow stirr the dephts of my soul. God bless André Rieu.

  • don´t know why, but i like scotts and their music more than most others.maybe cus scotts have much viking blood ;)

  • @kronan11 The Scots are celtic people, there isn't any viking blood involved lol

  • well, thousands of vikings setteled ireland and scotland.sometimes they even ruled those places. i can ashore you there are lots of nordic blood in there.

    (suck in english)

  • The bagpipes didn't come from the Nordic countries, they came from southern europe. Besides which lol, the Vikings invaded England too, lots of our northern towns have Viking heritage, York for example lol

  • i didnt say anything about bagpipes :) just like the music. and remember the normands was former vikings aswell

  • @TJJ5621 Its the scots that made bagpipes recognised all over the world. Not southern europeans. English Tosser !

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Scotland The Brave followed by Amazing Grace

  • my god,you dont know the name of this song..AMAZING GRACE..you need to get out more my friend.....

  • to be honest i find scotland the brave, and other bagpipe songs like flower of scotland better then amazing grace

    and im not even scottish

  • Één moest de eerste zijn om dit te zeggen... zucht

  • AHO !!! once again Andre. " Alba gu Bra " Two of my most favorite songs.[ Ode to Joy being the favorite.] For those of you Amazing Grace fans you might want to check out " Amazing Grace Cherokee" Namaste

  • The MASTER at his absolute finest.

    Long live ANDRE RIEU.

  • Awesome!

  • damn he's the best

  • impresionante !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Veneil is absolutely right, I saw him in Portland OR, delightful, funny, supreme performances by all, the only regret for me was Carmen Monarcha wasn't there. One of the greatest performances I've ever seen. I

  • All these Rieu concerts have one thing in common: they're a once in a lifetime experience and there's nothing else like it on the face of the earth. I saw him in Sydney and it's simply amazing how he has people in tears one moment and dancing I the aisles the next. Nothing is too outlandish for him, all he wants is for people to enjoy themselves and go home after a night they will never forget.

  • Dear friend the "sydney" you speak of is that "sydney" in canada or "sydney" australia ?

    Thank you.

  • Sydney Australia! I didn't even know there is a Sydney in Canada.

  • Yes indeed there is a "sydney" in canada.

People who have mistakenly booked flights for "sydney" AUSTRALIA have ended up in "sydney" CANADA simply because of not reading up on that they will actually arrive in SYDNEY AUSTRALIA.

  • @Veneil This is exactly the point isn't it. Andre has to be stopped before it is to late. Everywhere he goes he brings people together with his music and leaves them with peace, contentment, and joy. Do you have any idea on how this would affect the profitability of the Warmonger's and Right -Wing politicians. Enough already I say. Bring out the Waterboards.

  • @Veneil

I've seen him four times now and badly need another "fix" ....just as soon as he comes back to Canada!

  • @Veneil That is, I think, just about the nicest thing anyone could say about a performer. Props to Mr. Rieu, and double props to you.

  • Das ist so unglaublich schön.

  • @ ozzieharv:

the first is scotland the brave right

but the second is amazing grace

  • Scotland might be brave but against all stories about them they are not scrooges, didnt you hear their bank went broke.Still they can always make a buck busking.

  • They played this at my graduation, go Scottish!

  • You obviously did not watch the whole video.

  • @ozzieharv On the entry it was Scotland the brave...

  • That is so cool! And i love amazing grace!

  • wooooooooooooooooow! that's incredible!

  • geweldige muziek en wat een vrede en eenheid kan andre rieu brengen in deze wereld.

  • Truly amazing, wish i was there, just learning the pipes at the moment, hope i can be as good as these guy's one day, fantastic video, thank you for uploading it

  • lovely

  • wohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • I attended the concert in Toronto Dec. of last year and it was truly awesome. As the bag pipes came down the isles and the playing of amazing grace filled the place it was truly overwhelming. The bag pipe players were Police of Ontario.

Where can I get the video please.

Cannot find it anywhere and want to buy it please

  • I had 2 tickets but because of work, I had to give them away... WHAAAA!!!

  • Like it!!

  • Dat podium is niet normaal#lol

Dat kan niet eens in de breedte van de Arena staan#lol

  • =]]

  • WOW.....

  • wow props for the rest of the orchestra keeping up with 150 pipers:P those who've been in or close to a few hundred pieprs playing at once knows that it is freakin loud:) pretty good sound too

  • Just saw it yesterday.

    It was AMAZING!

  • FANTASTIC ! SUPERB ! AMAZING !

  • 300 pipers - Wow - that's Andre, all right!! Gorgeous, as always. Thanks for posting this.

I noticed in your tags that "amazing" is misspelled. If it were corrected, this great vid would come up properly on an "amazing grace" search. :)

  • Sounds amazing!! I have found so many videos on Andre, Andre is everywhere!!

    Isn't it great??

  • i'm a dancer of andre rieu... there were a total of over 600 persons involved in the whole show... about 100 stage builders who set the whole thing up, 250 staff, and 250 performers, which includes 150 bag pipers und drummers from the canadian police, 84 dancers from the viennese dancing school elmayer and vienna opera ballet team, and ice skaters from canada

  • I hear his world stadium gig involves over 600 performers.

  • exceptional concertinterpretare de exceptie

  • Amazing show,.... Andre is the 'Spice Girls' of the classical world of music :-)

  • thanks for posting this- great!!
