  • They have had a solid reputation for years. I would not hesitate to buy Toyota. Been in the auto business for 29 years. Use to be a GM man, but since 1994 all I have bought were Japanese vehicles. I do NOT like domestic vehicles anymore.

Toyota will survive. Just like Firestone with their faulty tires. Well, they just started to use their Bridgestone brand. I have no problems with that either.

  • It WILL sway most Amer consumers. Not me. But I hold all corps in low regard. They might LEAD the way safety wise and if smart jobs wise! The commercial could have been done by Riefenstahl!! Soft music, only showing Americans and ONE out of focus Japanese employee. Well done!

Old friend from Mpls-so good to see you Sharon!!

  • Hey what alternative do they have, the American Media is way too powerful, I heard they are going to slam Honda next. I'm sure there is a list of recalls for GM products as well... Let's give them equal air time.

  • It had to happen. These idiots were heavily slanted to the foolishness of "Lean Six Sigma". You can only push a production staff SO far before corners have to be cut to keep up with ever-increased expectations (quotas). At some point the workers turn into Lucy on the chocolate line. Toyota; SLOW down and go back to old-fashioned craftsmanship.
