You guys must be simpletons! This is NOT a difficult pedal to use or learn. One thing you failed to report on is the external "Tap Pedal" available so you don't have to press the right pedal for three seconds but even still switching from presets to tap mode in an actual set is not common enough to worry about it! If you have any talent on set arrangement you simply switch between modes between songs or sets. SIMPLE! If you have half a brain you can benefit from this pedal!
I own one of these and have never read the manual. It is seriously easy to use. Additionally you can just leave the tap tempo turned on and scroll through any presets with the buttons just above the right pedal. Alternatively if you are too clumsy (like I am) to do that, you can just plug in ANY unlatched pedal (the official Boss one is the FS-5U £20 on ebay, or you can just use an old keyboard expression pedal!) and use that to input your tap thus leaving the big pedal to scroll through presets
Cmon guys, lots of people buy this for the sound on sound and the crazy sound effects you can make with it, no mention of either. As a delay pedal goes, they are all pretty hard to use without looking up instrucitons, but the DD-20 is pretty easy to get used to and use.
