I'm not sure what it is about this song, but I always find myself singing it when I'm sad, or sleepy, or just feeling alone. It's beautiful, and I wish I knew who the original four were.
@fregglover its a melody written by jazz violinist Ludwig Girdland (a very special friend of the group) who was hit by a drunk driver and was in a coma for a very long time. The string arrangement is by pianist Josh Nelson and features the string quartet Ludwig used to play with. The title "Original #4" doesn't have any significance to my knowledge, but the song itself and the musicians were and are VERY meaningful to the spirit of the song, which might be why it feels so emotional?
