I wish Boston had this, but Logan is too small for it anyways. (Taking people to the Airport Subway Station, then to the Rental Car Parking Lot, all from Central Parking).

this i caused by the lack of dynamic braking on the train, so in order to control it they must apply the brakes to slow it down, top speed is 35-40, but normally in airports with short runs you will only see around 20
In Hong Kong Airport, there is a similar people mover (Disneyland they call it) underground in the departures side for the people who decided not to walk a mile to gates 33 and higher. For me, it is definitely boring because when I take the people mover, I will miss an appetite along the way.
Atlanta's Airport practically revolves around its APM system, which was also made by Bombardier. I might make a video in a while, when I go on my next trip.
I visited China a few weeks ago and rode this train. it accelerates pretty fast

I've been on this train and it's bumpy heck I've been on bumpier rides compared to this!
Sanosuke004 1 year ago
Very true, since you do sacrifice ride quality for greater acceleration when choosing rubber tires with concrete guideways over traditional rails.

If I had a FREE ticket to Beijing, I wouldn't go there let alone...

Actually, I really enjoyed Beijing. My only complaint is the pollution which is quite horrible.

i like the one at zurich, it's smooth.

why are these so jerky? at capitol airport, you really have to hold on otherwise it pushes you back far
BigCockvanHugenDong 2 years ago
Because its time, since these trains have no dynamic braking they depend on the massive drum brakes to slow it down

I have ridden on these several times on stop-overs at the Dallas and Huston Airports. I was surprised to find how bumpy the ride is on these trains.

Same as Atlanta, too.

Same as Pittsburgh as well, but it only serves two stops and the airport looks like a ghost town at times.

its a little quieter in the tunnel, inbetween the trains

No, that's an automated people mover. It runs on two concrete tracks, and has tires just like a car.

Nope - that one serves Shanghai Pudong Airport. I went to the Hongqiao Airport.
