I thought about the same thing only my thoughts were it would be like a parent(s) trying to convince their children that they owe their life to them for having them.
no bro you don't get it. actually what is meant by a gift is the act of giving not as in present like a christmas/birthday present. God gives us life he can take it back in other words we are borrowing life from him and if we mess it up then he will take it back and give it to someone who will appreciated by being a devout xristian. Even when he came to earth he borrowed life from himself.
It's not even jacking the presents back, it's the fact most Christian's will say "he gives us free will" but free will isn't something you let people exercise and them end their lives as soon as they do so.
" Funny how it even says in the Bible that the person who sins is the one who is to be punished and explicitly says the father shall not be punished if his son sins and vice versa. "
Indeed it does. Yet all of humanity is cursed because of the sins of two people?.....
Ok, fine. We can accept that "Well, it's god, He can do what he wants." No shit. But don't sit there and spout how he's kind and loving, because that is anything but.
Sadly, it doesn't matter what argument you present a Christian. They are experts at making excuses for any argument you can think of. They have been trained their entire lives to make excuses for their imaginary friend. And the sad part is, their excuses can contradict the Bible, and they don't care. For example, the Bible says God lives in the sky. Yet, we know there is no God in the sky. So what do they say? Oh, he is on another plane of existence. Oh really?! The Bible never mentions that...
Indian giver is a North American expression used to describe a person who gives a gift and later wants it back, or something equivalent in return.
The term was first cited in John Russell Bartlett's Dictionary of Americanisms as "Indian giver. When an Indian gives any thing, he expects to receive an equivalent, or to have his gift returned."
The phrase is sometimes offensive, particularly to Native Americans.
I need to research before I speak, it actually refers to the fact that native Americans really didn't give gifts, as their ideas of property ownership were different from the Europeans. I like my version better.
I believe indian giver refers to the fact that the US government constantly gave things to the indians and took it back. Unless there is some racist connotation I am unaware of, I think its a perfectly fitting term to use.
Great vid, my friend. What gives this god character the right to do this? Just because he's god? Pfft.
Also, in giving a gift, you also must consider the prospect of that gift hurting the individual. Christians say Free Will is a gift from their god but why would god, in his omniscience, give humans the gift of Free Will knowing that humans would misuse it? Something to think about, I'd say. Still rockin' the Dee Dee shirt BTW. Got a lot of compliments. Take care.
thanks. Yep. There is no logic to the god myths of the world. This is why they will eventually die off and join the other god myths that already have died off. Unfortunately for you and I, we'll never see it. :(
Yeah, you need to frame that shirt and hang it on the wall!!! hahahhaha Might be worth something after I'm dead. hehe
Maybe god's a Democrat.

Well we sat on the edge of the river,
the crowd screamed, "Sacrifice the liver!"
If God takes life, he's an Indian giver.
So tell me now why, you'll tell me never.

I never knew the roots of it so I just added the "don't kill me" fine print just for those who might think I wasn't mindful of it.
