@stephizreallyawesome Only once in the books does Holmes say 'elementary' and it is not followed by 'my dear Watson', or 'my dear Holmes' so teecchhnicccally, that phrase is just as usual as its famous counterpart... :p
the first is a common expression, chemistry is a usual subject, picked because of Holmes' love of chemistry in the books, Dudley is just a name after all, and every film needs a mini villain, and Flaxwatter has nothing to do with Harry Potter. :p
Technically, the bear could be any colour seen naturally on a bear. A house may have windows on only one side, giving it an 'all southern view'. That means, the bear could be brown, black, white, or yes, even red.
@nevershoutfelicia holy crud, ikr?!?!?!?! When i saw the cover for this vid in my public library, i was all, "That isnt Nick Jonas, is it...?" and my bro was all "I didnt know he acted, too!" XDDDD nice deduction skillz :P lolz jk
i think i know how holmes felt when playing that viloin frustrated and feeling like giving up.i often do that to myself lots of time and think that i'm in this world by mistake.
Holmes would have to refine his deducing methods today. Nowadays Watson's shoes couldn't be traced to anything but a chain store or catalog company. Holmes tended to rely heavily on objects. Today he'd have to go by body language and psychology.
@RLviddy if watson was here today, he probably wouldnt be wearing those kinds of shoes in the first place. so holmes probably could still figure out where watson was from
@RLviddy ever watch bbc sherlock? the modern retelling b/c sherlock is still brilliant even in modern times deducing who the culprit is n what people do. its brilliant
@DJOfRadioGallifrey "Is it some sort of magic trick?" The first class is a "chemistry" class--not unlike Potions, is it? ;) The snippy, pale-faced blond is called DUDLEY, but he seems distinctly Draco-ish in attitude. And Rupert T. Flaxwatter is one of the funniest names I've ever encountered. All that's missing is a cute redhead.
@QueenBoadicea My husband went to school with a boy and girl whose last names were Butts. And the horrible parents name them Harry and Rose! I kid you not. And as I said above, the sneaky looking man with top hat has to be the rat in Harry Potter. Pointague? Something like that. He killed Robert Pattinson's character. ..
@QueenBoadicea Well he is bright and as I said he is a very good actor but it just doesn't do it for me. and the as HobbitRules said the flirting...it gags me. Seriously!
@MikadoOkami i know x.x i was sick the day we finished it in class so i was rather annoyed but atleast i got to finish it now xD it had a wonderful ending
yeah. You see Watson, after coming back from the war, was in need of cheap rooms and one day he came upon an old friend who said that he knew of someone who was hoping to share rooms at Baker Street. He met Holmes in a laboratory just as he was making a great discovery in the scientific and crime solving world. And holmes immediatly tells him everything about Watson just by looking at him and its settled.
I love the library scene! Thanks for much for uploading this...I was thinking about this movie the other day and was delighted to find it here. This was my favorite movie growing up.

I DO believe it was stated in the beginning the show that this is a original piece of work and not true to first ones.
