  • スタジオ盤とは全然違ってロックしてますね~~~

    めちゃめちゃカッコいい~~~~

  • Bob's prebend and tremolo picking around 3:10 is ridiculous.

  • Thanks

It's never to late to discover something amazing

at 47 a new fantastic band to explore

  • chotto matte ... ^_^

  • Die Besten aller Zeiten!!!!!!!!

    Pippbox Germany

  • Hectic, to say the least! Love seeing them play those matching Mosrite guitars - they were the COOLEST.

  • damn that fucking drumming

  • they let bogle play lead

    best band ever

    damn they were good

  • they let bogle play lead

  • drumer is so grate!!

  • What a superhuman drumming!

  • Wow Telstar.......for you kids this song dedicated to what was a miracle for us in the early sixties....remember seeing broadcast in a morning showing live pictures on the TV from Washington DC, NEW YORK, and West Coast.....Telstar was the first communication Satellite.....

  • I looked a the controls on a showman and they did have a vibrato effect on them.

  • They are extremely talented. You have to remember that this is in an era before back up monitors.

  • i dont know how Mel Taylor's arms didn't fall off after this.. he smacks the shit outta those drums

  • where's the vibe effect coming from on telstar? from what i can see they're plugged directly into the amps

  • @11edwardsd Bob is doing that with the whammy bar

  • @kenandsandy no, it sounds sort of like a univibe. the pitch isn't changing but the tone is pulsating between bright and dark. i can even hear him using the vibrato arm with the effect still engaged

  • ドラム最高!!

  • King´s of Twist

    I love them...

    Grrreat......

  • sooooo catchy!

  • just imagine if they had distortion petals...you would have the true birth of (thrash) metal in my opinion...its the only thing thats missing...the leads are extrordany, and very complex and fast to boot...i feel that they were beyond the "surf" style....i cant think of any other catagory to honestly place them under....just due to there style of playing...its beyond the beach boys and the beatles and the doors....this was the birth of thrash.

  • @pyreal1979 Anthrax admitted that they were inspired by the ventures

  • Thanks a lot..the vids are priceless...

  • Mel Taylor only used only one ride cymbal that was also his crash!

They moved and played with great energy and enthusiasm. That's what America was at that time. Just before the free sex and drugs burned out our valves and left us sputtering. Its great to have history recorded to see and hear. The Ventures were all American boys at heart. That is why it took so long to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were too clean living for them to accept.

  • @genemz5

I think that's a pretty accurate assessment of what happened from that era to the present. Too bad so many people flushed their precious values down the toilet. That was a better era. You're right on dude.

  • @genemz5 Horse shit.

  • @mustangjjz109 Horse shit? Its a good thing that they do. It would kill them if they did not. :-)

  • Wish they had more footage of Bob playing lead than just Telstar :(

  • HAIL VENTURES !!!

hahha they must be the kings of surf and instrumental rock' n' roll !!!

    all these are wonderful performances

  • Four speakers and 250 combined watts. A simple drum set...

yet these guy's have such a huge sound! It is truly amazing

how BIG talent can make due with so little. A lesson for us all.

  • This just made my day. Grinning like a fool!

  • These videos deserve higher than 5-stars. This is enriching to see, historical!

  • So much can be said for the #1 rock musicians of this era - no huge drum sets with a zillion drums / cymbals - guitarists plugged strait in - no massive rack mounts or huge effects pedal boards. This is the real thing - so awesome! Such talent!

  • a masterpiece

  • Thank you for all of the fantastic stuff you've uploaded. These Ventures clips are just magic!

  • There are no other instrumental groups have ever influenced me than THE VENTURES...!!Their creations are still soo nice to hear any time..!!

  • Mel Taylor drumming 'Wipe Out' is just amazingly inspiring.

  • OMG!!! somebody that uploaded The Ventures!!! I can listen to them all day. Thank you very much. 1000*

  • at about 7:00 I was waiting for the scene where the giant reptile crawls out of Tokyo Bay and starts crushing buildings while Nick Adams directs the Japanese Army to aim their lasers at his eyes.

  • This is music.

  • anyone else notice the echo at the begining?

  • I just love that drummer!

  • I wonder if he ever caME down with carpel tunnel? Damn is he fast!

  • rotten is a moraon

  • carpel tunnel is only a modern pussyman problem. These old cats just sucked it up an played!
