I don't think it was a great thing for her to bring up the race issue but regardless of what we want to believe as a culture, race IS still an issue. I grew up in the South and I know for a fact that as much as we'd like to pretend its all behind this country its not and its going to take a while for that to happen. She didn't help it by saying it, but who doesn't make mistakes like that. I'm sure she regretted it as soon as she said it.

When Michelle said this I felt really bad for Obama... instead of making things smoother, by her comment, there was no peace coming out of this one comment. She could of defended her husband from this comment by maybe answering that he is not 100 percent black and period. But she kept talking.
