The new (Ford Mustang) KITT cannot be compared to the original (Pontiac Trans Am) KITT.
The interior / dash of the original KITT beats the crappy plastic interior of the Mustang anyday. As for the exterior, Ford should be less interested in making sure its mustang and cobra / shelby logos are visible - and more interested in making a car that people want to own. The new series looks like a car commerical and decisions made about money over logic fail.
@gothimkrokus is that why Ford is on the show? Or, bare with me, is it because Ford makes a good product so the show chose their car?!?! Dumbass. The 2013 GT500 has 650hp and goes over 200mph. Oh and it's around 60k, suck on that bud.
@merimar3 As much as I like Ford, I think that using a cinder block of a rear axle isn't the smartest idea. Also, since going to electronically assisted steering, the Mustang has FAR less driver feedback. The Mustang can pull almost a .9G on the skid-pad, but only provides .5G of feedback. On a track, or even spirited driving, that's a lot of missing confidence. Not bashing, because I'd love to own one, but I'd rather spend $60K on an STI, Evo, or NSX and have money left to spare.
