  • Does using the flaxseed gel improve the thickness of ones hair? I just notice several people who use the homemade gel, thsir hair looks thicker. Maybe I am just seeing things. Who knows...

  • Hey Naptural85, tried this method but I ended up with some frizz and my twists look older now :(, but yours didn't look older after the rinse! What did I do wrong?? I even used an old shirt to dry my hair...

  • i love how you did your mini twist ,looking nice:)

  • not sure if you're been asked this question before but do you sale your homemade shea butter by any chance? I can never get mine just right, probably because i give up too easily when i can't get the shea butter to completely resolve lol....please let me know, in a desperate cry voice lol....

  • @tweetywifey300 Sounds like you're not using enough oil in the mixture. Also are you using an electric blender or manually mixing it up cos that makes a huge difference to the end result.

  • Can't wait until my hair gets that length. I've been natural you're about 9-10 months and I've been struggling to find what to put in my hair. My length is about 3-4

  • how do you wash your hair with the twist?

  • hey i just want to know if i can still deep condition my hair if i have extensions with my mini twist

  • Great video.

  • Do you wrap your twists even when they are slightly damp? Are they dry by morning or do you still feel a little dampness, say in the middle of your head when your twists fall?

  • When you wrap your hair after deep conditioning it, do you let it air dry before hand?

  • Wait....how many times have I watched this video today? lol I could watch it over and over. I think it's the swing in the beginning. lol You have lovely hair sis and you've given me an idea for my small box braids. Thanks for sharing. =)

  • This is VERY nice! This style looks great on you! I also learned something new for my hair by watching this video! Thanks for sharing :)!

  • waouw, first happy new year from europe and i love you're vid keep up the good work.

  • i have never had hair envy in my life until your hair...honestly it does not even look real! wow just wow...i wish my hair was that full :( but we have to thank God for what we have right. Your hair is beautiful really! I wish you had more views because your videos are on point and really helpful!

  • Your hair is so beautiful! How do you achieve such shine in your hair? When I use coconut oil my hair is never that shiny! Great video :)

  • Your hair is sooooooo beautiful, thick, and healthy. Your hair grows fast too.

  • Great vid, thanks. One question - will aloe vera gel (by the same company) do? I need to use mine up before I buy the juice. Thanks! :o)

  • Girl you are not lying about the yogurt. I followed my normal routine with my mini twists and I was so sad that I did. Two days later it was not pretty...

  • love this, i did something a bit simliar.

  • how long do you keep your mini twist in for?

  • how long does it take to put those mini twist in and out?

  • LOVE your hair! how long have you had these twist in?

  • This was very helpful...I was wondering how often you do this deep condition? Weekly?

  • What a brilliant vid!

  • i love your mini twists... they are the best ive seen..

  • ahhhhh your hair is sooooo freaking pretty!! last night i did my hair in kinky twists (no extensions) instead of mini twists (i didnt have the time nor patience lol), and i'm glad you posted this so i can know how to care for them while they're in! :)

  • I have my hair in mini twists right now... a bit of inspiration from you and others... I love them and thanks for the conditioning tip. I was actually thinking of using the hot oil treatment you made a tutorial for earlier on your channel. Have a Happy New Year sis!

  • I had no idea you had a hair steamer. How do you like it? I've only heard good things about it and I'm thinking of investing in one.

  • I have to tried this next time, thanks for the infor!

  • I love it! So simple, yet effective. Keep it up girly! :-)

  • Thanks for this

  • Looks great how long have your Mini twists been in?

  • does it matter what brand of coconut oil is used?

  • How do you avoid tangling during the detangling process when you are ready to take them out. I tried washing/conditioning and my hair was horribly tangled when I took my twists out from all the shed hair getting caught and push down the twist. I could barely unravel the twists!

  • You make it all look so easy!

  • I have A LOT of hair and honestly it took me between 16-20 hours over 2 days to complete but it's really worth it. Even with my unravelly ends people LOVE it! I get compliments like crazy! I do pinups and mini-twist-hawks, curls and side sweeps! I may have to buy some pipe cleaners and re-twist and set the ends in tiny spirals as I complete each one. If you're thinking about it - try them! Naptural85's tips are great! I wrap each night.

  • I LOVE my mini twists (still have them in). Unfortunately, my curl pattern is looser in the crown and front of my head (family trait). In those sections the twists keep unraveling and it's driving me crazy. I need a solution! What I love about mini-twists is the movement (just like in the video) and versatility of styles! It's FABULOUS! And because the hair is "straighter" & hanging down the sebum can move down the shaft easier and moisture is well maintained (almost like with permed hair).

  • that was awesome!

  • Yay!!! Thanks for the shout out!!! @3:30 The twists are still going strong!! Great Tips....BTW. :)

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • Love it.

  • looks like sisterlocs

  • Your twists are beautiful!

  • Omg! You should be Mini Mouse for Halloween lol

  • how long does it take to put in mini twists?

  • Beautiful, as always! You have so much patience to deal with your natural hair. I don't have it, but, it is good to see you and a lot of others do it as well! Your channel is such an inspiration to others, as well as relaxed hair people because you show us that patience and perseverance pays off. Your hair is so healthy because of your consistency. Thanks for being on You tube to show us that we can do it too!

  • Awesome video!! You have gorgeous hair!

Just curious...What does the Aloe Vera juice do for the hair?

  • @IamJasmuzik It has a pH of 4-4.5 which means that it's acidic enough to seal in moisture into your hair by closing the cuticle. But it's not too acidic to be damaging to the hair shaft like lemon juice for example. The aloe vera comes as juice or as a gel, they're both good. Just make sure it's the dietary supplement aloe vera...I made the stupid mistake of getting the kind for poison ivy & bug bites when I first went natural lol :)

  • I'm glad I watched this video... Great stretching method!

  • So jealous of your hair, I can't help it. Oh, how I wish...

  • Go head girl with your bad self :-)!! This soooo helps and you know I'm going to use your stretched twists method. Love it!

  • 1) what kind of coconut oil do you use & where do you buy it?

    2) I've been using the mixture of aloe Vera juice jojoba oil and lavender oil (you recommended it for my braids a few months back) to refresh my wash & go's in a spray bottle & it works wonderful! Thanks again :D

  • I love this method of deep conditioning... Coconut oil in one of my favorite oils to use in my hair.. I too use the plastic cap when DCing... Thanks again for your videos...:)

  • I love when your hair is down in mini twists. They look so beautiful on you :-)

  • Your mini twist are so beautiful.

  • You are so pretty!!!!!! and so is your hair

  • OK! This is such a great and simple video!! I love watching your channels. Do you find the steamer to be beneficial for dc treatments. I'm interested in purchasing one.

  • Can you please tell me where you purchased that spray bottle? Thanks.

  • @zippyspring I asked the same thing...LOL A subscriber gave it to her as a gift! :)

  • @DoodyBugg, LOL. Thank you DoodyBugg! It was worth a try:).

  • My goodness you have great hair!

  • Oh your hair looks great after the DC!

  • So great thank you. Could you show any protein treatments that you do?

  • @up4itgal she has a mayo and egg protien treatment video up

  • Beautiful hair!!! So how long do you keep your twist in? And how many days did it take? Also please do give us an update when you take it down! I think the most fear I've in this style is the taking it down part.

  • @IhsannIman she said she kept hers in for about little over 5 weeks.

  • So helpful! :-)

  • Would you ever blow your hair out n wear it straight?

  • wow! beautiful hair!

  • i am always so happy when you load a video

  • Your hair always looks so beautiful--how do you do it. I have been putting twists and braids like forever and they always manage to slightly stick to one another when I wash my hair. It is never a huge thing, but it does stick how do you manage to keep yours from doing this?

  • Thank you for your subtitles!!!!!! They mean so much to me (cant have sound coming from my comp at work)...so I know it must be very appreciated by your deaf/hard of hearing viewers.

  • Idk if U have plans on taking the mini twists out but if U do can U please do a length check!?

  • I LOVE YOUR MINI TWISTS, but whenever i do mine after one week they start to lock up at the roots, how do i prevent that from happening?

  • @Bojanglesisthebest u can either braid then twist and i usually spray my twists with my oil spritz but maybe naptural might have a better idea

  • Are these the same mini twists you have been having in since December ? They still look great !

  • Beautiful as always!! :0) I tried my very first set of mini twist and it lasted for 3 days!! LOL! They weren't as neat as yours at the ends... I'll have to try again some time...not a pro yet.LOL

  • Thanks for the vid but DUDE!

Your mayo & egg DC vid popped up on my side view the other day so I figured why not view it again since I'm doing something similar... YOUR HAIR HAS GROW SO MUCH since '09. I'm mean, yeah of course it has but I just didn't notice HOW long since I'm so geeked to see a new vid and a new vid, I take the knowledge in and go. AWESOME retention... You rock!

BTW, will be trying the new spicy chicken new week. :-)

  • i used to love my mini twist. but I did them myself and that was raging bicep pain lol. looking at your videos i see it might be worth it to do that again. thanks :)

  • U make it look so easy, but bet mine don't turn out that way!

  • Hum. I can't really drench my hair in water when wearing mini twists or the take down will be horrible! I wonder if I could get away with just doing the coconut oil and Steaming session.

  • This may be a creepy question, but how much hair do you shed regularly?

  • My twists are starting to unravel at the ends. I only had them for 2 weeks. How do I stop this? THANKS! (and nice vid)

  • @xloveoutloudx I just took mine out after 2 wks but what I did during that time was use a light water mist and reseal the ends with a dab of leave-in conditioner, castor oil mix OR whatever oil you choose. That really helped alot!
