I think I would die if I owned these. Must be nice to be rich! Gerard Bulter, Emmy Rossum, and Minnie Driver actually WORE THESE! I would totally wear all of Christine's dresses all the time and attempt to do the Phantom's awesome cape moves if these were mine(: Lol!
lol this is the only use i would have for these costumes, if i had like a hundred mannequins lying around i would have them stand in masks all over the house creepy guests out...omg now i totally have to do that eventually
I can't even imagine how much money is invested in this collection. I remember when the Really Useful Group ran their auctions on e-bay, and many costume items sold for thousands of dollars. The owner of the collection keeps everything in storage most of the time, but periodically sets up the exhibit in her home when special requests are made. She does charge a nominal fee to see the colleciton - like 15 dollars or so - I can't remember exactly. But it was well worth it!
I used to be so impressed with the Red Death costume from the film...until I saw the Red Death costume on stage. The mask alone deserves and an award for the Red Death costume on Broadway! The movie's version is...quite lame, after seeing that.
Nevertheless, thanks for sharing! It was a treat. It must've been great seeing all those genuine costumes in person.
The sword is not the one used in the film. Some items shown are props used to complete the costumes. The large costume pieces are genuine, though. We were asked not to touch any of the pieces. It's the same philosophy as visiting a museum. You would not be allowed to touch any of the items on display there, either.
Omg....I'm speechless. I envy you so much getting to see these costumes up close. How in the world did owner manage to get these? Are they the actual costumes and masks? If so then I wants to touch them really badly lmao wow thank you so much for uploading these. Are you alowed to give the name of the owner? Thanks so much again this is a real treat for a Gerry phan and Phantom Phan like my self :)
The owner purchased many of the items in the collection through RUG auctions held on e-bay. Sorry, but I think it best not to give the owner's name on a public forum such as this.
I am so jealous of you!!! I would love to go see that. The Red Death costume is my all time Phantom favorite...that and the one's from The Point of No Return.
Oh Kity, you have made my little heart skip quite FEW beats with these wonderful looks at the beautiful costumes of POTO;-). When the Red Death costume appeared, I think my heart stopped for a split secondLOL. That wedding dress is even more gorgeous that what we saw in the movie;-). Thank you for this wonderful look at the close-up details of these beautiful costumes *BIG hugs!
Another wonderful costume video for us Kitty, thank you so much for making these for us all to see. I can imagine your face seeing that red death Jacket and cape in front of you, a little like mind seeing don juan, if only his jacket.
Loved it, thank you to Metrospace too for being so kind and generous to let the girls into her home to give them a treat i know they will never forget.

"Oh you just want to hug it!"
Well, I suppose you could call it "hugging", but that's not exactly what was on my mind...

We were allowed to try on one of the Phantom's capes. If you look at Part One of this series, you can see several of our group doing so.

Did you touch the sword from Red Death? I would have. Lol. But in all seriousness that trip must've been amazing.

I wish! No. They belong to a collector who lives in Las Vegas, NV. She sets up a display in HER home for tour groups, by special request.
