Our spiritual practice is so that we will accumulate the positive causes that will propel us at the hour of our passing into a positive rebirth to any of the six realms. Hopefully our positive causes is so much that we will enter the sacred realm of Vajrayogini or at least a human rebirth again to meet her again.
May TKL materialize and may all obstacles disperse. May it be the place where the Dharma is propagated so that many find the Dharma and they practice to change their destiny. Many it lead many to benefit even more people.
How fortunate to be close to our Lama and to strive to make his dreams come to realization. You know why it is fortunate? Because whatever the Lama has in mind, it is to benefit someone, hence what great fortunate to be a part of this. On our own, how can we benefit people?
I think the best thing we can do for ourselves while we are still young is that we do things right now that will not regret later. So later we have a very contented silver years and when we passed away, it will be a passing of joy instead of loneliness and regret.
Hmm yah not just stop fear death, but also become more happy. He teach me to remember what is important. I also think his words is very encouraging - if I ever think I cannot do something, I just remember Rinpoche say that is me making excuses. Ever since I start listening to Rinpoche talk, I feel more happy and calm.
When Rinpoche says rebirth in the higher realms, he means rebirth in a place that supports your dharma practice, right? So not necessarily the higher realms, like the god realms?
I really enjoyed Rinpoche's talk. It reminds us that when we properly practise the methods given to us by our lama, we stop to fear death.
Even if we are goody-goody our whole life and we don't do anything bad, doesn't guarantee a good death and rebirth. Hence, spiritual practices have to start now with mind transformative practices like 8 verses and taking refuge in our Yidam- Lama Tsongkhapa now and later Vajrayogini along with Guru devotion then we lead our lives full because of Dharma and when we die, we can only think of Dharma, our Guru and Yidam. That will lead us to higher rebirths like Kechara Paradise.
They can be good this life, but what about what they have done in their previous lives? We carry the karmic seeds of our actions around with us until we purify them, or until they meet the right causes and conditions to ripen. So the bad things might arise from negative karma ripening, that was committed in previous lives.
Dear cokeismyit: That's because there is such thing as karma. They may be good in this life but in previous lives, they could be really nasty beings. So the karma come back in this life, hence they will have to suffer for it. No one can escape karma unlike it is purified.
Agreed, if we plant a seed of wheat, what grows is a wheat plant. If we plant a seed of rice, a rice plant is produced. Hence if we plant negative thoughts in our mind always, our future will be negative.
I think its very logical. If we generate positive karma during this life, it will naturally follow that we will take happy forms of rebirth in the future. Conversely, if we create mostly negative karma, we will experience great difficulties in lower states of being.
I agree. I have listened to one of Tsem Tulku Rinpoches talk about ripening of karma. There are effects such as tendencies similar to the cause and experience similar to the cause. Tendency is for example, when a killer (past life) has a strong drive to destroy living beings. Experience is when a killer has short life and full of diseases and sicknesses.
Its because that emotion becomes stronger and we keep asserting that, we will become that. And as our mindstream is a continuation, thats the logical next step as thats our focus.
Kechara organization has 12 departments! Get involve by volunteering at any of these 12 departments. We have a soup kitchen, media & publication house, saraswati arts, Kechara House the Dharma center, video production house, Dharma outlets, vegetarian restaurant and so on
I think the students of H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche are most fortunate. I noticed that Tsem Tulku Rinpoches Dharma talks are always very apt to advice the students, in a way that can be applied immediately, instead of philosophical preaches about karma and its complications. *Two thumbs up*
Thats true, thank you for your comment. I have been watching many of his videos, and I also read some of Rinpoches books. I especially love his book Compassion Conquers All that made Geshe Langri Tangpas profound teaching and meditation so simple I couldnt really believe it!
You dont have to be his student to learn Dharma from him. You can watch his youtube videos and apply those teachings in your life. But if you are serious about it, you can always visit Kechara!
I think Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is a great presenter. Not only are the points informative, brief, full of humour, and are as simple as A-B-C. How fortunate his students are! I want to be a student too
Isnt it great that we can still have access to teachings like these although we do not have to be ordained or become a serious Dharma practitioner? Simple tips like this really helps us lay people to get a good rebirth, hehehe, more tips please Tsem Tulku Rinpoche!
You can check your mind right now, cos you can die today!. Scary. I guess thats why most of us are not prepared for dying. Huge difference between those who practice Dharma, and those of us who think we are practicing Dharma.
Profound. I know about karma and all, but this is serious. Imagine someone who dies of car accident. Im sure there wont be much virtuous thoughts arising when the person is dying.
I am very concerned that negative thoughts can bring about negative rebirth. Woah, must really start to think otherwise and think good thoughts when I am dying?
You look bad because you dont do anything. After some reflection, I have to totally agree with Tsem Tulku Rinpoches statement. People who dont do anything in life will never succeed, and they will be looked down by others.
Stop saying you cant and stop making excuses for small things that everybody has done years ago and you still cannot do because you are restricting yourself. Stop staying you cant because you dont want to look bad.
Haha, ok go to hell-lah, hahaha. Thats true though, if there are so many opportunities to do Dharma and yet we give all sorts of excuses, we really will be reborn in the lower realms as our negative karma are more than our store of positive karma.
I like the humour in all his teachings if you think money money money, my kids my kids my kids, hehe. Funny, but its true for many people when they die.
Well, thats why they are high lamas- they do death meditation every day! And by the way, Tsemtulku is a tulku, so definitely he knows the death & rebirth process.
I love Tsem Tulku Rinpoches teaching of death & rebirth. Rinpoche always speaks very convincingly, as if hes describing a process that he is very familiar with
Wow! What a great teaching on dying and living! How interconnected everything is towards our daily spiritual practice and its not the short time we do our cheap mantras. Neat!
Your teachings is so true and powerful. I am so grateful that I listened to you before I started a new day this morning. My life and Dharma practice have changed tremendously since I met you. Thank you so much for your precious personal teachings. May you have the best of health, live long and continue to turn the wheel of Dharma to benefit not only the Dharma practicioners in Malaysia but all over the world.
I totally agree - we need more positive thoughts and thus we need to contemplate more and act out the virtuous deeds.

Good thought at the point of death is very important for our next re-birth. Therefore we need to cultivate good dharma thoughts, all the time.
