This things pretty cool. But stopping a bullet won't save the soldier if the trauma isn't affected. If the armor can spread out the trauma over a large area, there by reducing the trauma, then it would be rather effective.

@theophilis the armor business is an old boys club. I get that. I know armored mobility has the lightest class III armor. I'd like it over a clase IV ceramic because it can take more 308 hits then the ceramic can. its only class II becasue green tip and teflon ap tongstun and steeel cores leave dimples in the back but its still doesnt' penatrate. The ceramic class IV interceptor is heavier and once its cracked its compromised. can only take less then 10 hits of 308.

ARmored mobility does well in the police and private contractor market even though its not military issued. However Troy wetn bankrupt on this armor and I feel like he didn't know the industry well enough. He needs to really understand what soldiers want. No toys. Just light weight heavy protection. once you add a battle load out, its going to be 100 bs. Needs molle webbing. ar mag holsters. the magnet pistol is bull. What if i like my steel colt 1911? 50 cal. i don't mind. no armor stops it.

@MrResidenteviladdict those features are ridiculous toys. People don't die because of lack of morphine. They die because of trama, and loss of blood pressure. So turnicates, clotting agents and ashermine seals. The most common likely thing that will kill a soldier is a 7.62x39 and ied fragmentation. Its already 50lbs. adding more bullet proof stuff would not be the way to go. 1313 paste won't beat the level III urathane in weight or performance. The rc is lower power, he needs molle straps too.
