I think if people asked more about songwriting instead of how to play the songs. It would of been a better clinic. I know Dig and Drive are both on UG and other tabs places. Someone probably asked about Stellar too probably and there's a video on youtube with him showing how to play it. All you need is your ears really and if you need help on a song look up a tab.

@pipe603 just as said before, mike is truly and obviously amazing, incubus is amazing... I just had an alternate expectation of the whole experience, and was left feeling so close but so far away. The clinic wasn't for songwriting, it was how to play incubus songs, and why waste time with mike on that when you can tab it and talk to him about more important things? That's how I felt, still a lifetime experience by far.

@pipe603 I saw it life, and believe me you haven't missed anything, I love mike and incubus, but that was the worst clinic ever, I myself am a guitarist and wanted to learn mikes secrets, but there really wasn't anything useful to a serious guitarist, so don't worry you REALLY HAVEN'T missed anything.

@Inidiom Yeah, they really should have only picked 5 winners to make it more meaningful.. plus most of the people there kept asking questions like "why did you go from a jazz riff to a c major?", where mike replies uhhh just cause it sounded good.. rinse and repeat that 10 times... ugh. I was pissed because I was so disappointed, especially since i traveled so far, but I guess you cant help how you feel. I didn't learn a damn thing.

@Vivical Wow, I'm glad I didn't spend the time and money making a video and going out there. It would be cool to meet Mike and awesome to play with him, but after traveling 2500 miles, I think I would have slapped whoever asked how to play Drive. Do your homework!

I like that he explained their songwriting process, but I thought it would be more about what he learned in his recent studies or has just discovered after playing for 20 years... like you said, a smaller clinic would make more sense.
