  • I wont drive any emergency vehicle through London under normal conditions and even not at the new years eve.. It's horrible how long they need.

  • omg

  • Paramedic: GET OUT THE BLOODY WAY

  • id ram through all the cars

  • I can't help but say that if I was responding to an incident and encountered something like this I'd probably tell the driver to catch up with me, jump out, grab a backpack and a couple of grab bags and BOOK IT to the scene

  • that iveco is TIDY!

  • mrsambr: no wonder the nhs vehicles get beaten up

  • Sound's like the Air Ambulance or Police heli is overhead. Probably police judging by the noise that the cars and people are making.

  • no the second van is a standard LAS Emergency Ambualance, the first is a LAS HART Command and Control Unit and the third is LAS HART Support Unit. They would have been forced to have taken that route as the other side would have been quarentined by the police/fire service whom take overal responsibility of a hazardous situation. As somebody previously mentioned below, fleet ambulances are normally occupied by amb. support workers. Paramedics 8/10 there 25% faster, on bike, 50% fasterin london.

  • The second van isn't the fire support unit from British Red Cross?

  • @Lorenzo7990

No HART normally have lots of equipment, depending on the emergency. The first vehicle looks like the control vehicle and the second one the equipment.

  • light and sound - they just don't care...

  • @medolin1976

What should they do? They can't fly...

  • that first ambulance had no siren why dident to other one take the lead??

  • a british fire truck driver is legally allowed to smash through any illegally parked vehicles in its path which is blocking it.

  • hoky fuck if this is what comes of emergency services in the uk thts shit. under the ambulance driving act in 1998 ambulance are allowed to use accesive force on the roads. The 1st ambulance was right behind a keep left cone and hesitated to damge it. Ambulance hav the right to smash through it as someones life is in danger

  • ?? idiots, honking their horns. one was playing a song. what a tw*t

  • get the license plate on that focus and throw a fucking brick at his house!

  • and the one who called an ambulance is dead...

  • im not being sexist or antyhing but i bet that focus driver was a woman. ive been driving a year now and ive been hit two tomes both my fucking middle aged women

  • omfg some ppl are so ignorant most of those drivers didnt even try to get out the way yea i know i was completly grid locked but if every driver did a little something they could easily creat an ambulance size lane down the middle makes me feel sick to be british when i see shit like this 3 mins to do 100 yards its disgusting

  • I'm happy that I live in Finland..

In Finland we not have traffic like that...

  • beepbeepbeep beep beep

  • this sucks because the horns are bad and to quiet

  • They went in wrong direction??

  • @061zgz, They are allowed to do that in emergencies, you idiot

  • Just goes to show people these days don't give a toss about anything or anyone, sad world. I would have lost my cool being one of those drivers, I wouldn't have been able to hold back from nudging a few of those cars at 0:59 that driver could have reversed back to the left lane with no problems, beats me!

  • This Was A new Year Event And Everyone was leaving London after the HUGE firework display

  • Holy hell, I thought traffic in the states was bad. These people would pro drivers here in Las Vegas (they are welcome here anytime).

  • that was really bad, that fool of a thic bitch ford focus wouldent move!!!!i would smash his face in!!!!god bless the person in the emergency!!! cant any body see flash flash or hear bee boh bee boh??? stupid isnt it!!!!!!!

  • I live in London and work in a London hosipital ! Traffic in and around london is a f*****g nightmare !

  • They should fit the ambulances with train horns xD

  • @Dodo9655 Or bulldozing units.

  • that makes me so angry

  • Jesus christ, ram some stuff. It aint your van!

  • @deathstardisco

No youre right, its the taxpayers!

  • i meen seriously people dont move they dont care

  • Some drivers are so stupid, dont they have reverse gear, especially that ford focus at 121 secs.

  • Wie lange haben die gebraucht bisdu die nicht mehr gesehen hast?

  • wtf are the drivers doing? if that was me i would be doing everything to get the cars out of me way, id be going woop woop woop woop honk (air horn) woop woop woop special if some ones life is the line

  • what is the function of each of these units?

  • @chuckegraham they are so say hazardous area responce teams - for wannabes basically they are making brand new landrovers at j16 of the m4, next to my office and they are top of the range, waste of our money.

  • @SN3Productions so what type of things do they respond do? medical, accidents, ect?

  • @chuckegraham not quite sure - but they just sit around

  • Comment removed

  • @SN3Productions You may wish to get your facts straight before you make assumptions about the HART teams and assume that they are a waste of our money...........I sincerely hope you never need them, but if you do you'll soon understand what great value they are.

  • London roads are fine, it's the drivers, esp. those who've never sat / passed a driving test....

  • i bet private hire taxis played a part in this mess.

  • Its a good thing the Iveco was out front, they have the highest roofline of any commercial van sold in europe (and possible world)

  • Maybe that explains why all the specialist units (WMAS HART, WMPS POV, WMFS ICU) of my local emergency services are Iveco Dailies :p

  • maybe they should introduce a fire and ambulance lane in london, would make it a lot easier and quicker.

  • @LoUiSeXXLOOPY and how do you think theyll do that? with the limited to no road space at the side of the roads available!

  • @ImRatherTall haha! hmmm....i hadnt thought that bit through!

  • Nice video, only saw the support unit and incident command unit ONCE ...they are rare BTW was that India 99 (helicopter) overhead?

  • Three rigs caught in a traffic jam? What a nightmare for those crews...

  • The roads in this country are too damn small. We should have multiple lanes (3+ ideally) on almost every busy street in London.

We need a least double lanes in all of our towns, and the roads in the countryside should be widened.

Some of the busiest streets in London are single or double lanes - in the US they have 3 or 4 lanes on each side of the road!

It'll cost too much though, so it'll never happen. We'll just have to get used to sitting in traffic jams all day!

  • yes but roads in America are really long and boring and our city's mostly out-date the hole USA by a couple of hundred years(in some cases).

  • embarrasing -.-

  • it's a bit buzy there, come to the nord of the Netherlands!!!!

  • why isnt the traffic moving to the sides ? or indeed trying to get as close as they can so the vehicles can fit through? and to think someone somewhere could be in a critical condition, some people dont care until it happens to them or their immediate family and friends

  • Damn those LED's are BO-RIGHT!

  • warum blinken unsere in deutschland nicht so schön :(

  • awesome video, i like those ambulances

  • xD hab ers gedacht Wieso fahren die alle links aber mir is ja dann eingefallen England = Linksverkehr :P

  • was hat der erste wagen denn da alles auf dem Dach?

Whats on the roof from the first car?

  • One thing people are forgetting. Paramedics on motor cycles would have been at the scene very quickly. I suffer from a severe form of epilepsy and heart trouble and every time an Ambulance is called a paramedic is sent out first to stabilize me.

  • Great! :D

    5stars + favorite :D

  • WOW

  • What was actually happening on the road!

  • 1) Excellant video

    2) What mayhem london is as usual...

    3) 1st and 3rd ambulance nice lights!.. :P

    4) Last but not least ;-) Rated video a cracking 5!!

  • Holy c***. That was just a mess. And that bloody Focus driver could have EASILY just stuck the car into reverse and gone behind the car on his left.

  • well you know people from london LOL joking

  • Why didn't they get out the way?

  • they couldnt..

  • If such big convoy has to get through, why not take an alernative route or let the police clear the road ahead?

  • they was heading to a major building collapse persons trapped no one died luckaly

  • That is the very WORSE traffic snarl up I have ever seen involving the emergency services... I do sincerely hope that the persons who needed immediate medical attention are alright after the delayed response. I just can't believe the way the roads are in the UK, particularly in London! Every second counts to save someone's life, what a disgusting traffic system.

  • thats fuked up man... i hope its not my child when this shit happens.. having said that ambulance drivers should of acted more aggresively different sirens rumbler airhorn and that other one

  • people in the uk at least care about emergency vehicles, not just stay in one place and hope for them to go around, unlike OTHER countries, and in that video they could have moved out the way because they were to tightly packed together

  • @MJT2701 London was built and designed many hundreds of years ago - way before the grid network of roads were designed that you get in the US, Canada and other nations.

  • @MJT2701 We didn't get a chance to plan the roads here and lay them out in an orderly grid .. Blame history.

  • The focus driver is a bit of an idiot. A quick parallel park manouvre behind the car on its left would have sorted that mess right out.

  • at 1:13 the ambulance should've taken down the bollard, they're very hard to squash and can be put back really easily

  • are they allowed to hit the yellow bollards?

  • people over property

  • ???

  • @relemar Probably not, i once saw an accident where a car had hit one of those bollards, and there were 2 fire engines at the scene, for whatever reason, so i'm not sure, but it's probably ill-advised.

  • @relemar No...

  • I hope that perons survived...people just dont know when to move

  • That's London for you!

  • There's no best time in London, probably quicker getting the tube...

  • Not the best time to need an ambulance.......
