I worked on the ad as an animator and that was a request by the folks at Apple and The Beatles. You see, Abbey Road was actually recorded before Let it Be, they just weren't released in that order originally. They decided now (not sure why) to change the dates listed to match the recording sessions instead of album releases. Believe me, a lot of time and detailed consideration went into pulling this off and the order was, of course, much discussed.
@Neonman78 Let It Be was recorded before Abbey Road but the Beatles decided to release it after so the ad is accurate in a sense.
