@TentiBS It was a real scene. It was cut from the movie. The Skull Cowboy is an actual character from the comic book. He delivers the crow to the dead who have come back to life to avenge their death. It just wasnt Eric Draven who became The Crow, there were several other who became The Crow as well. The comic series just starts with Eric Draven.
this is really cool, i've been meaning to get all the extended cut scenes and deleted scenes spliced together but havent had the time, great job splicing this together
i agree that skull cowboy explains alot but the director thought it sent out a comic book vibe instead of a tragedy vibe skull cowboy is only recognised by the comic crow fans i find
@43NOTE I can see his point but if they had made the costume of the Skull Cowboy as just a skull instead of all that other stuff, it wouldnt have been so "comic booky." Just my opinion
@thedarknight307 The same reason why they cut all of the good scenes from City of Angels. At the end Ashe pretty much was doomed to stay on earth and Sarah waits on him. I think it would have made it better.
@eoinluvsgrunge The Skull Cowboy in the comic book would always show up when Eric started drifting from his mission. Eric is only supposed to be alive to kill his killers and not to care about the living. Eric would become like him if he failed.
@AncientHistoryBuff He would have done it as a mortal. That's why towards the end he's wrapped up in the chest area with no explanation. He got hurt because the Cowboy took his powers away and he stopped healing quickly.
@StarvingSound, thanks. that makes more sense. the bit where Funboy wounds Eric and they fight before Eric overpowers him and gets the information about the other guys who killed him and Shelley should have remained in the movie. the scenes with the Skull Cowboy proably should have been kept in as well...they would have explained why Eric didn't heal when wounded by Funboy or when he harms himself with a blade after resurrecting (which is another scene cut from the film).
It's parts from the movie and the 2 disk dvd and sliced back together as the Skull cowboy footage was in a montage of Deleted scenes so I had to redo sound effects, music, etc.
Great Job!

@666eyesore Really? I never knew that was the original concept. That sounds like it would have made a better movie than what was produced.

@powermasterjazz, what the hell did that mean that Eric would become like the Skull Cowboy if he failed?
AncientHistoryBuff 5 months ago
@AncientHistoryBuff he'd be a lost soul
powermasterjazz 4 months ago
@powermasterjazz, does that mean that he wouldn't be with Shelley if he failed?

@AncientHistoryBuff bingo

@powermasterjazz what if Eric simply defied the Skull Cowboy and completed his mission regardless?

@AncientHistoryBuff He would have done it as a mortal. That's why towards the end he's wrapped up in the chest area with no explanation. He got hurt because the Cowboy took his powers away and he stopped healing quickly.
