I always loved Cast Your Fate To The Wind. I love this "take" on it very, very much. It gives it an entirely different feel, yet the warmth of familiarity remains. Thank you for a lovely post.
This amazing arrange, and the waving melody through it, touch to me like a personal mantra, sneaking smartly, kewl, spirit-softening -- a true wormhole warping spacetime onto my childhood days.
You've GOT to see what I've playlisted, it includes 100s of orchestral covers of pop songs. Horst was Germany's leading Jazz Pianist, hence the amazing sound!
My 400 playlists give you continuous play for each of 250+ artists, like Horst Jankowski, or any of the past 120 years. Hear the best pop music of the day as if you were there!!! This is also on my 1965 playlist so come step back in time!
This track is from that album, as I noted in the info section/bar to the right. I have several other tracks up on YouTube from that album as well as 3 of his other out of print albums.
This is simply beautiful - it mirrors a Ray Conniff arrangement. Horst's piano jazz is what makes this unique -I've forwarded it to a utuber who thinks she doesn't like jazz. bet she loves this ! ! ! !

I like the smoother, gentler feel of this rendition. Very nice.

What an interesting rendition of "Cast your Fate". Wasn't aware of Jankowski 'til seeing this - love the disolve at 1:50. Very groovy!

The trouble with instrumentals is it's impossible to know the name of the song. Well, that's another one I can cross off, thanks to you, wally1435.
