Your country is always at war somwhere away from loved ones where they cant get hurt, why is America so facinated with guns, there made for killing period, a sure sign of paranoia or insecurity
Its a tradition my friend one that date back to the 17th century, a sense of freedom and a willingness to protect it, our freedoms can still be taken away today, they are their to ensure them. I think sigmund freud described it best. "The fear of weapons is the sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity"
Atleast you are being reasonable with the gun. But at 0:14 . Aint that blanks she's handing you there? Looks like a red magazine wich I have learned is blanks. Am I wrong? Just a curious question since I am no gun expert.
Guns aren't going away anytime soon in the USA and kids WILL be exposed to firearms. It's best to control that exposure and teach them correctly from early on if you hope to protect them and avoid problems down the road. Good for you guys. Keep it up and stay safe.
first gun i shot was a Yugoslavian SKS rifle that my uncle owned. awesome gun, he's probably the one who got me into guns, my dad owned a glock 18, but he didn't let me go near it. Getting a Romanian Dragunov soon, nice to see parents teaching kids gun safety and proper use.
This is an Ak-74....not an AK-47. It is the perfect size for a young shooter and has a 5.45x39.5 cartridge (.21 cal), similar to the AR-15 5.56X45(.22 cal)......not an AK-47 7.62x39 round (.30 cal).
He is now a year older. And loves shooting, I still only put 1 round in a clip for him. The round has no kick as you mentioned it is a 5.45 round. I have several 47's and 74's, he can shoot the 47's if I set the bipod up for him. I practice safety, and the danger involved with handling firearms.
Nice video. My dad taught me to shoot when I was 9, learned to shoot a mossberg 590. My mother hated guns so I didn't really get to fool around with guns again until I turned 21. Good to see some father/son bonding and learning proper gun safety.
If you notice in the video my other SLR-95 with bipod. He likes to shoot that one as it is easier. I don't own any 22's. Plus he wanted to try it out. Normal father? Sorry, but teaching him proper techniques and safety is normal.
I changed the stockset out to Warsaw length and now he is able to hold the gun properly and shoot it on his own. Adding that he is also 8 months older now and bigger. Can't fault a son who wants to shoot a gun that has no kick and looks cool as hell.
Fiance was filming us. Hence the womans voice in the background :P I am teaching my son, since my father didn't teach me. It is best to know everything about a gun early for the world is an unforgiving place and they grow up fast :P
No supervison? Oh must be one of those magic camras that film by themselves. I kid that lerns how to uses a gun is less likely to shoot a person because there prepered for the effects.
Was a bit scarey for a minute there, he likes to shoot the other AK I had there as it has a scope and a bipod which is easier for him to handle. Always have E&E protection, and we go to the range when we are the only ones around. Importance of teaching at a young age the safety aspects goes a long way down the road.
"Importance of teaching at a young age the safety aspects goes a long way down the road." Amen, brother. once he's old enough to make his own decisions (he may already be at that age), you should get him an airsoft gun as a gift so he can target practice whenever the range is unavailable ("...we go to the range when we are the only ones around."), and he might enjoy the lighter weight of them, too.
At last ! A Dad that loves his boy enuf to stick w/ him and keep him safe . I notice that your boy has his " eyes & ears " on as well . ( glasses & plugs ) . It hurts my heart , as a father , to watch some hillbilly put a child in danger just to get some footage of their kid bumpfiring , waving the muzzle around w/ no supervision . It's obvious you love your son , giving him proper firearms instruction , and worried about looking cool . Congrats !!
good father!
