She herself is from valley, a kausher speaker but this song is in Poonchi which is very similar to dogri as well. Yes Hadiqa Kyani too sung the same poonchi song but little bit different in lyrics plus her video do not reflect true poonchi culture.
this one is also a kashmiri song because when we say kashmir that means we include valley, jammu, gilgit ,baltistan and ladakh ,the state ruled by the maharaja hari singh dogra who opted accession of kashmir state to india in 1947.in this regard we can say that this song is from kahmiri origion not from a specific kashmiri language which is being spoken only in the valley and some other parts of Pakistani administered kashmir.there is a great diversity in kashmiri languages pahari, dogri, gojri etc
Kashmiri is Kashmiri (Koshur). These other languages spoken on other parts of J&K like Dogri/Pahari/Gojri etc belong more with Punjabi, or better yet Himachali. Also, POK is basically an extension of Jammu. It was annexed under Kashmir by Sikh/Dogrs. It is Kashmir VALLEY that is the real Kashmir- Dal Lake, Pheran, Kangri, Pahalgam, Koshur language, Lal Ded, Habba Khatoon, Wazwan etc. Yes the other areas are under the banner of J&K, but they are not kashmiri.
This is NOT kashmiri, but Dogri....which is a completely different langauge and has abslutely NOTHING to do with the people of Kashmir. Anyway, she has a very nice voice. God bless her.
very sweet...Thanx bro.. I didnt know such awsome Dogri masterpieces r also available on utube i think there should b more like..chann mada chadya ni uppar Rajoria....,Rambaney dey nalley...,Salidiyan taran...,Chamaka bindlu da.. ., Jammu diyey kandiey barakha lagidi... 2 name a few
Anyway, this song has been sung very well. The Dogras should certainly develop their own culture and music....Thanks for the upload:)
