Abrams tank was first battle tested in First Gulf War. It wasted about 3,000 Soviet built tanks that Iraqi Republican Guard had. The Abrams tank's tech go back almost 35 years, yet it is still superior to China's best tank. Go figure.

However China already has their own sets up sats up there, they also have anti sat weapons and is building a space station soon. I thought i'd share a little more here. Take Persian gulf for example. 4500 Iraqi tanks vs 3500 US M1 abrams. That one battle, iraq lost 3,800 tanks with only 4 US tanks lost. Now the iraqi tanks were not all that bad, sure they were a bit outdated but the discreptancy wouldn't be that large. I would say it was more of an experience factor. Sure they had no chance to begin with but they probably could of had a better ratio in that fight. This battle is what shocked China.

The iraqi tanks were very bad, just as their crew. They had downgraded export versions of T-72. A tanks that was designed as a mass produced tank and was outdated to begin with. Ad downgraded capabilities compared to the actual soviet tank and bad tank commanders. Put them against a high quality tanks with well trained crews and those results is what you get

@Terrorkarel Yah sure, but These downgraded t-72s were better than Chinas MBTs during the Gulf war. Thats Why they Even developed this Thing. And they only have about 500 of These... USA has about 7000 M1 Abrams tanks. The Best Tank in the World is still Leopard 2A7+, it can take this Thing out from 2 km Away While its moving and itself is moving with Full Speed over Rough Terrain.^^ well, Let's just hope we Never get to test it out^^

And I am not even sure why China is paranoid. US won't attack china unless they attack someone else and even then they won't invade them. There is no point, unless they house terrorists but terrorists house in weak countries. So that's good for China. And people should think west hates China. @igorigo well inventing it is always harder than coping it from someone else and letting them do all the hard R&D work. so you are right reverse engineering is the name of the game. for example china's purchase from the taliban of two unexploded Tomahawk land attack missiles and now China's new DF-21 carrier killing missile does strike a resemblance to the Tomahawk crusie missile.

China is only a regional military power. It cannot project global power like the US. Any tank China has can be smashed by something the US has. Abrams tank will probably be last tank

US wouldn't invade China, but believe me, the US military is more than capable of smashing your tanks with its tank killers. The US spends 10 times as much on its R&D and military hardware than China, and US hardware is far better. Don't underestimate the US, and the US won't underestimate China. That's
the worse thing a country can do. The US made Abrams M1A1 tank technology
goes back to the mid 70s, yet it is still far superior than the Chinese Type 99

is the best, Read up. Anyway, tanks are becoming quickly outdated, no matter

Abrams tank was first battle tested in First Gulf War. It wasted about 3,000 Soviet built tanks that Iraqi Republican Guard had. The Abrams tank's tech go back almost 35 years, yet it is still superior to China's best tank. Go figure.

@cabraden1 Arams never fought against modern Chinese tanks so there is nothing to figure. In regards to whoever controls space is the key to winning, I agree. However China already has their own sets up sats up there, they also have anti sat weapons and is building a space station soon. They are landing their first carrier into the sea next year and planning to build more. US can project their power globally yes, however most of the time the carriers are idling racking up on maintainance cost.
