Olwowgw, you should be proud! I am Polish and I am very proud of my heritage. I also speaks Spanish and Latin culture and folklore is dear to my heart. Your music is not strange, it is beautiful. Embrace it!

yes - its kind of sad that people saying they are ashamed of their national heritage - and sorry for saying that but i think that more shameful is lack of insight and interest in one's own folklore and culture... What I'd be ashamed is the fact I learned how to appreciate treasures of the past so late...

Also there is no point in "trying" to be proud of smoething - one day it just will come once there is "nothing more to listen" .... ;)

In many cases in Sweden there are people who are afraid of embracing our own culture out of fear of being called a racist. It´s strange and i cannot understand it myself. Swedish folk music and folklore are wonderful. Most other countries have wonderful traditions as well as good folk music. Enbrace and enjoy your heritages.
