i see you are another person who strims clockwise

if you do it anti-clockwise it throws the strimmed grass back on the grass to either cut and collect or to mulch it

it also makes less cleaning up after you have done

hi i just bought a stihl fs 38 for 140 can. it was used 2 times by the owner what do u of the deal? also i just bought a used lawnboy push mower model 10671 just wanted to know what you think of that model and info on it i dont no much just hear that its a great mower. just asking because im starting my own landscaping business this year and dont no much about what tool is best and will last me so times.. thanks

the stihl you bought was a very good deal.

According to the Lawnoby website, this model is the Insight series with the 6.5 hp tecumseh model from 2005+.

I don't like using the new 4 stroke models, but the tecumseh motor is a good engine. However, you need to be checking the old levels very frequently. The usually problems with this motor are carb gumming up, but its an easy fix. good buy

so how do i check the old levels wher is that ? and how do i check the carb gumming up and info on that sorry im a new guy trying 2 learn thanks for ur help i paid 180 CAN. for the lawnmoter its was in mint condition from the deck to the motor no leaks or nothening i will tak some pic 2 show you... can you help me out by giveing me more info on the carb gumming and how 2 check it and fix it?

you measure the oil levels by taking out the dipstick and measuring it.

Carb gumming occurs when you have old gas in the tank, and when you start the mower it dies instantly. You can check on my video "How to service tecumseh carb". It shows you the problem and the fix

My friend and I are starting a lawn mowing business next year and I had a few questions. Do your clients pay you at the end of the month or after every mow? What will be more effective - passing out flyers or going door to door or both? Thanks.

some monthly, some after every mow, it depends if they are there.

Both are effective. I passed fliers AND went door to door

i have a question

it seems that there is two types of grass growing on my lawn..

there is the nice grassy type that has nice thick blades and deep green

then there is this rouge thin short random patches that start to take over. and they die and leave brown spots.

any idea on how to deal w/ this?

Mine too, It's called crab grass and it's annoying... Just use some simple fertilizer

You shouldn't weed wack first because then you dont know what height to do it at. If you mow first then trim the lawn around it is already the height so you just match it with the trimming. Just a tip.

I'm with you about mowing high, some people mow so low their lawns are brown and horrible looking

Yea when you cut it high like that it stay green when there isn't much rain and it chokes out all the weeds.
